That was the question which I posed to my MP today. Along with the following from a Larry Webber newsletter,

Today, the Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) launched a mass advertising campaign, urging Canadians to stand up to the Harper Government and its plan to dismantle the board by Christmas despite a majority of farmers opposing the decision. The campaign, which includes print, radio, TV, a microsite and online advertising, asks Canadians to text FARMER to 24680. The text generates a letter to MPs, opposing the decision to dismantle the wheat board, in support of Canadian wheat and barley farmers. "We're asking Canadians to help us send a clear message to the Harper Government that we will not be steamrolled by their anti-democratic processes," said Allen Oberg , Chair of the Canadian Wheat Board. "Today, it's wheat farmers. What about tomorrow? The Harper government is acting ruthlessly, unethically and illegally and the outcome is that Canadian farmers are at risk of losing their livelihood." Despite the fact that the law requires the government to let farmers decide on major changes to the CWB, the government refused to hold a vote among farmers and says it will ignore the vote conducted by the CWB. Not only is the decision illegal, it's also the opposite of what the farmers themselves want: a recent plebiscite among and wheat and barley famers showed that 62 per cent want to keep the CWB. (RELEASE)

On January 21, 2010, the Supreme Court of Canada dismissed an application from the CWB for leave to appeal a ruling on the Government of Canada's advocacy directive. No reasons were provided. As a result, the directive - initially issued in October 2006 - remains in force. It prevents the CWB from spending money "advocating retention of the CWB's monopoly powers". (CWB WEBSITE)

Maybe Oberg figures if he burns all the money on the
way down the feds won't publish a public audit after
their demise. After all, no money left nothing to look
        for.

I did contact the RCMP white collar crime division about this. They did investigate. They replied to say that there are more than one case before the civil courts re the CWB currently, and that at least one case should decide this issue.

The officer that contacted me said that if any evidence re the Directors or the Corporation should surface that was criminal they would like it forwarded and would investigate.
