CWB decides not to offer B and C this year.

Not sure what they are doing here, they urge farmers to sign everything up to the A as there is no intention to do the B and C.

They can shove their contacts you know where. Your grain will be a donation to the great CWB battle and when they are done blowing it on court cases they will use the rest to pay themselves severance packages and stress bonuses.

They have given up selling our grain because they adopted a scorched earth policy.

If they were as good as they say they would be offering new crop contracts just like most other commodities have.

They have given up, taken their marbles and cried all the way home.

        Total incompetence. Bunch of ****heads.

We should try to remember that the elected directors are the correct targets of our frustrations of today.
They don't shovel the coal or make the steam.

Must not be getting enough wheat to meet commitments if they extended a deadline. A couple of months from now when there is a competent board in place we will likely see B contracts. I haven't done an A. I'm not going to contribute 1 more cent to their legal and advertizing budget.

Right or wrong we only contracted about 7% of our wheat production. Just enough to core and check the bins for now.

The CWB has other mechanisms to bring grain into the elevator system (price and delivery contract). They have used in the past (mainly feed barley). Things will change after January 1.

Highlight another thread about whether to sign a "A" series. Would encourage to separate your business decision from the political one.

                    1) Can I afford not signing an "A" series financially? Mainly a cash flow issue.

                    2) What is my storage risk? Bugs. Heating. Theft. Bin space. Wild life/grain bags.

                    3) What is my market outlook? Storing into a higher priced market or a declining market?

Actually if they refuse to offer a B or a guaranteed delivery contract with price attatched after friday, then we should have an open market purchaser availlable to us immediately. Is this something we should be to our elected gov't about? I think so, lets steam roll this cwb. Wheat growers what about it?

To all, this irrisponsible act by the CWB should not go overlooked. A farmer realizing an extra 5000 bushels on monday should be able to sell that grain in this crop year. It could come from a miscalculation, maybe a niehbour was asking for planting seed and pulled out. Whatever. Seed growers will have no market for unsold certified seed. All this dumping of good grain into the local feed system is completely driving me up the wall.
