Had a conference call with agchieve essentially adressing life after cwb and also marketting 1010101 whole lotta marketting info essentially what ended up. Was a freebee, anyone else get one of these? I really enjoyed it. Pen was smoking during the first hour so I could ask questions later. Then Dustin the main man left us farmers online to talk, hello, anyone here , lol had a great chat.

After Dustin said goodbye there was 5 minutes of silence. Hello, anyone here??? LOL Us farmers were all still there, talked for another 30 minutes at least . Was nice chatting very serious conversation.

I'm having trouble processing why marketing consultants think there is a need for special meetings, advice, etc. just because the single buying desk is leaving. Are people not used to marketing the non boards? There should be no difference unless Oberg relents and allows some experience CWB staff come up with the board as a pooling provider alternative. Even then we're used to that as well.

To lead up to 01.08.2012 we're going to monitor basis and cash bids in northern ND. This won't necessarly give an accurate basis for my area but the CWB system has masked basis levels.

I'd like to start tracking basis for wheat and malt barley as soon a we can to get a feel for what is average.

I don't need a marketing consultant for that. Having a chat with other farmers is always good though.

apparently this online conference with Dustin and approx 6 other farmers was very enlightenning. I bucked them in the past and gone through shit house luck marketting myself the past 3 years. Had well over a dozen questions and at least 6 marketting questions he could not anwer that day. He phoned me up the next day with anwers to them all best of their knowledge. That almost alone made me buy the membership, its a one year deal I intend to keep the pressure on.
