LOL, that does not make me feel better at all, that video is directed to be watched by non farmers in other parts of the country who really do not know the issues. A lot of grain farmers who actually do still get to vote in director elections are increasingly annoyed by the cwb's tactics, grain pricing options that do not match us to world demand. All western Canadian farmers should be allowed to vote in the cwb director elections. Not just the hand picked ones. Western Canadian Wheat is the only commonity that is forced to be priced after the close, not even priced durring trading hours, how silly is that?

I am a full time grain farmer whose only source of income is grain production. I am also a strong open market supporter. While I understand what is right and important for my farm ,I also recognize that this is not a view of some other farmers. Does that make me right and them wrong. Just because many of those farmers feel they have a right to force their idealogy on me does not make it right for me to have the same view. My point is we don't have to move to the lowest standards as part of this process.

Hey, I know Craig and he is definitely a
full time farmer/manager/businessman. Any
way you cut it he contributes a lot to the
industry.
I am going to step back and have a beer
and think about his comment. He may be
right (but we've been screwed over so hard
for so long its nice to be on the winning
side after so long)

Craig is right. And fair-minded But he CAN
argue an idea is lamebrain, as is buying ships
secretly; or cwb philosophy is greedy because
they just want money from a monopoly; or the
staff are self-serving. These are all ISSUES
worth arguing about. Giving reasons why they
are right or wrong should be what we spend our
efforts on if we want to change minds. Reasons
convince if that is your goal. If you merely wish to
enjoy a verbal fistfight, by all means give it your
very worst so we can enjoy you at your worst

yes I get it. I have chosen to drag the bottom on this issue and for 18 good reasons. 18 is years that I took your high side of debating, what did that get me? A co-operative board setting up for a smooth transition of a 6 billion dollar marketing agent and open for business. hmm Here's a debate. How many generations paid for this smooth transition? hmmm This is not a debate. Oh a debate, what the 8 RATS are doing hard or a soft crime? hmm How do ya like that not one bottom dragging word.

It's all over. The bill is already in the Senate.
Soon the law will be the law --and all these
arguments will be so yesterday. More than
enough of the politics and the spoilt brats. Time
to start thinking about how to function in a normal
world without Oberg & Co. Give it a chance. It
will be nice to get out of jail and collect $100 but
don't expect miracles. The end of the monopoly
will coincide with a very difficult time in the
markets. Blessed will be they who have the guts
to plow their own furrow.
