Holy Crap. Did I read this right? Freedom Jan 1 2012

I just read this on wiki (went there to
see what Torontians can learn about CWB)

The government recently moved up the
    timetables to Christmas 2011, according
to the CWB, prompting them to launch a
    protest campaign, urging Canadians, as
well farmers to speak out to Stephen
    Harper...blah blah blah

Maybe there won't need to be a B series?
Or it will have to be competitive?

I would imagine by passing this law before Christmas it will allow grain companies to start contracting grain in January for August delivery and beyond. The CWB will still have their monopoly until august 1st 2012.

Wilagro look to the horizon. The winds of shit are
blowing. See the dust from that huge steam roller its
squashing the bullshit out of everything in its way. A
new fresh clean sunny day will follow for all the grain
growers in western canada as they take their place and
enjoy the freedoms that are taken for granted by
              mainstream canadian society

Better send Goodale a sympathy card. Think he
can hold his head high and walk with pride?

To have the power to throw a farmer in jail for
selling his own wheat- sounds surreal, doen't it.

AllisWD45: I think the point wilagro may be trying to tell us is that trucking your grain to the U S is not going to be what you are dreaming of. Unfortunately, I do believe it will be a short lived dream. If our southern neighbors are in short supply, they will welcome you with open arms, but if a few of the northern elevator points are are always being plugged with canadian grain it will be halted shortly. As excited as I am about August 2012, a very short haul of 45-50 minutes for me is not in my plans at all.

smallguy I agree totally and would like to add that it
will not be necessary to "haul" grain to the USA. It
won't take very long for the prices to be the same
                    taking logistics into account.
To me that line from pro board people where we all
line up at the border and get our ass kicked out of the
USA for trying to "run" our grain across the line. That
is another 1950's argument they are using to scare
their converted. It has no meaning to people who
actually understand how things really work
