    Marketing Freedom Day

Gotta have one dont we? Let's throw out some
ideas. What about a name for the celebration?
    Any ideas?

Who so you really want to sit down and meet and
have a visit with? (Dare I tell you?) Pars

How about Celastrus Scandens Day, or the translation most may identify with. Just stirring the pot again!!! Would hate to have the ingredients of a good debate settle to the bottom too quickly!!!

that is pretty good!! But I am pretty sure the extremes on both sides of the issue will have their own names.

Just thinking even though the world population will make all crop prices rise, could you imagine the rhetoric if wheat was lower price next year? wow

The wheat prices may have a bit of a slump until
the open market forces find their footing. Short
term pain for long term gain.

I had to google that one farmaholic! Impressed
with your finesse. So, when we have a Freedom
celebration, who would you like to meet and visit
with? Anyone special? A lot of interesting
characters that have worked to get an open
            market. Para

                  Parsley,

Lucy likes the CWB building... ask the Good Lord to bless it's future... otherwise provincial capitals.

                  Princess Lucy is usually right!

I'm with you Breadwinner, I wouldn't expect anything huge until things sort themselves out first. Could be alot of caution from all players for a while. Alot of non board crops trade even without any price discovery(functioning futures market) Why would it be alot different than canola that is traded on a futures market?
The premiums/discounts for all the different grades of wheat in a class and all the different classes may make it a bit cumbersome. I guess we will find out after Celastrus Scandens Day!!!

Pars: the internet/google can make a hayseed like me appear smart. But in the battle of wits I generally come unarmed. Just full of shit and smart ass comments.

                            Pars;
Too bad Ronald Reagan wasn't still alive. I can see his speech going something like this, "Mr.Oberg tear down this wall!"

What a super apropos speaker he would have
been! Good thought, Cole. What about
GeorgeW? Can you hear the sound of Oberg
and Goodale just now choking on Warburton
                              oatmeal? Pars
