Parsley: In a past thread you proclaimed yourself as an Ideological Zealot. Do you not see anything salvagable from the ashes of the CWB. Changes are inevitable so let's get some hybrid vigour working for us and use the best of both marketing systems to create a system superior to either of it's parents.

It's not hard to understand your position given your comments of the CWB taking over and screwing up the organic market.

What don't you understand? You can lead a cow to water but you cant make it drink. The CWB wants a complete monopoly or nothing at all. Why try to save an organization that refuses to save itself.

Like-minded people CAN and MAY make the
new CWB entity work. Invite other like-minds
from Quebec. From Ontario. Band together. You
can even combine farms if you so choose, as
communal property, similar to One Earth.

I am divorcing you.

I own my own land. My own grain. My own cat.
I pursue individual property rights. We may see
each other at the elevator and I will be cordial.

But I will no longer be coerced, or jailed for
driving my own truck to NYC with a load of my
own wheat.

Thats what is new and different. My grain is mine
again. Get accustomed to it. I view my own grain
from my own zealoty eyes.

Not your eyes. Not Goodale's eyes. But my own
personal eyes. I own my eyes and soon, my
grain.

It's worth every minute I've spent battling the
Wheat Board.

cwb lovers seem to not want to allow pro choice beliefs, but are in favor of forced, arranged marriage(with no divorce).

Dear Parsley; Grounds for divorce: Irreconcilable differnces? I don't think so. My original post was a question simply asking if you thought there was any salvagable pieces? I wouldn't want to pool my canola, lentils, or any other grain sales for that matter. My "power" comes from being able to hold my grain until the time "I" think is right to sell it, not an organization that has no vested interest in it other than to sell it. I have come to realize they don't give a shit if they realize the best price for me or not--why would they--they had no one to answer to. I can make my own mistakes.

I used to be a staunch board supporter, ended up on the fence, ass got sore, fell off into the pro choice side. All this reinforced when I woke up one day and realized I was more of a capitalist than a socialist.

There are more issues to write than there is space for here. Did the Liberals like it(CWB) so much because Paul Martin's Canadian Steamship Lines liked freighting wheat around the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence. Canadian Railways had a captive market, if you can't process it it will have to be shipped out of the land locked designated area. Inland terminals enjoyed the storage payments. Shipping grain from one area to another to fill ocean vessels. All those jobs in Winnipeg that farmers paid the wages for but the government controlled. CWB: insulting initial payments, 18 months before final payments, ineffective alternatives to pooling that don't mirror current market conditions, bloated bureaucracy. Who knows how many Internation trade deals were made with cheap wheat as a bribe/bonus. The list goes on.

ps: Parsley, can we take the Collaberative Law route in this divorce. I hate lawyer fees!!

Your last post reminded me of something I heard once. It went something like this,"IF YOUR NOT A SOCIALIST WHEN YOUR TWENTY, YOU HAVE NO HEART. AND IF YOUR NOT A CONSERVATIVE BY FORTY, YOU HAVE NO HEAD."
