What Mr. Allen Oberg personally owns in the facilities at Forestburg AB. or in the Battle River Railway is simply a question I have never heard asked.
What the extended Oberg family owns is their business.
Thankfully, who or what Oberg means to the rest of us will be moot in a few weeks.

      Question for Jeff.
You have been on the BOD, what is truly motivating Oberg and the others to act so irrational and desperate?
My inkling is that it is more then "noble principle". Is there some kind of "golden handshake" when you step on the board? Even a guy like Ken Ritter who was a pro-choice guy gets on the board and immediatly flip-flops just as wacko as Oberg.
To me it seems like these guys are afraid of getting exposed of even greater wrong-doing then we even realize now.

Look on the front of grain matters this month and that is part of your answer. Three guys huddled watching grain pour into a ship.

Its all easily controlled. The unions at the east and west coast, and riding the rails have more to do with this than western canadian farmers. We are their gravy train.

sorry Jay, hadn't been back to look at this link in a while. No there is no golden handshake for any of the directors once this is a done deal, no severance, nothing ! well least that I know of !
The ideology of these 8 can be called admirable yet in the fact that it was created by Act of Parliament, all along we knew it could be changed. Some held out a believe that Goodale's changes made the farmer directed board in higher status than Parliament, WRONG, yet a die hard believe in that has the crazy 8 running around grasping at any straws possible.
They've crossed the lines of good corporate governance, will they be called on it? doubtful, yet it might as you mention expose them to potential issues in the future.
