    AAFC Bi Weekly bulletin

Charlie I gott AAFC expected seeding numbers yesterday. Do you know how they got them? It mentions Stats Can as a source. Is the info actually from surveys or is it just predictions based on prices?

They are just about the exact opposite of what I was expecting.

For those of you that are interested, the following is the link for the Bi Weekly.

I should let someone from Ag Canada respond but my understanding is these forecasts are based on analysts opinion/industry contact. I highlight they have budgets that reflect the profitability of different crops (I would be intersted in peoples comments on the budgets). They are not farm survey based.

The first survey based Statscan report will be released on April 24 based on information from the first week of April. Statscan does not share survey results with anyone (including Ag Canada) until release date.
