I don't think I would call Bill Wilson, Barry Prentice, James Rude or Colin Carter rabid socialists. Other things may push things off the track.

Note to self - You may have been around too long when you know all the presenters.

They took Shaun's video off the steamroller page. They censor at will.

Well if that's the definition of being
around too long Charlie, Jon and I are
        in trouble!

FarmLink has just launched a series of
1-day courses on wheat, durum and barley
marketing to run this winter. I ran the
first pilot in Brandon this past
Tuesday, and I think it went pretty
        well.

Anyone clearminded could hardly expect these
four to actually present an unbiased, workable,
positive, view of open marketing. Their entire
lives have been dedicated to keeping farmers
dependent upon government, raping the pooling
accounts, and grooming students for single desk
            ideology.

You were expecting four professors underwent
ideology transplants, charliep? Good grief. Pars

It is always beyond my comprehension that people think that the CWB can extract a premium selling into a market that is usually well supplied. At least 80% of the time (most statistics are made up on the spot) all they do is add cost. Do you think that international grain buyer who know the CWB is actually a forced seller don't wait for it to undercut everyone else.................

Good grief. When I read the list of the organizing committee names I wondered why Andy and Troy Schmitz weren't included. Then we'd have the old gang back together again. All the ag econs that suckled at the CWB teat, together for one last hurrah.

What is it about wheat in western Canada? When the OWPPMB lost its' monopoly were there conferences out the ying yang to talk about the transition? The open market operates for canola and other commodities out here. The open market operates for most commodities in the US. Are we that lame that we need our hand held? Sheesh, get on with it already. Like Nike, we'll just do it.

I'm pretty sure the steamroller turned into a road packer....oh wait, it always was.
