Will anyone do it up right to bring in our soon to be new found freedom. Am thinking of hiring a great band, pit BBQ, dancing etc. for this historical day. Of course your all invited. Will keep the fire stoked with permit books, old threatening letters and all my other worthless CWB propoganda. Be on the lookout for an orange glow on the horizon as darkness falls. Will be sending the crazy 8 personal invitations, hand delivering Stewies in person. If any show up we can play pin the tail on the donkey's. Can't think of a better excuse for a ringadingdandy of a time.

That's a good one Cott - much more humorous
than Parley's tale. Oh the hubris I watch. What
people don't get is that the more things change the
more they stay the same. Thanks for the
clarification on MF's and MERs, makes me wonder if
folks have so little knowledge and control on
investment funds, are they really equipped to
challenge the open market? If the CWB was such a
blessing for the grain-co's, why are the Grain co's
so pumped about telling their shareholders of the
immense new benefits and opportunities about to
be derived?
It'll be most interesting to read the threads a year
from now, won't it. Global financial dynamics and
distribution are in a total flux. Hard to say where
the dice fall.

Viterra's gravy train has fallen off the tracks. The
b-train after b-train of cheap durum they hauled
across the border , but if I tried to make a buy-
back, wo- wo- wo no way, we want every cent of
your profit. What else can these companies say.
If they told it like it is, their shares would fall off
the cliff.
Could be wrong though.

Make sure you have a good, loud sound system. Put this song on it, and fing crank this tune out every 15 minutes all day. The Tragically Hip is an excellent Canadian Band.

By the end of the day, everyone will know the lyrics. Its rather melancholy, but its lyrically brilliant and exactly the tone for the big day.
This song is full of Canadiana and references to rural living, its just great. Every year when I finish seeding(all the treasures buried)I drink about 3 beer and listen to this song. The hair stands up on my neck.
"Late breaking story on the CBC" I am pretty sure that is reference to David Milgard, but for one day you can consider it a reference to a "Designated Area" farmer!!

Wiligro can bring the wine and I-F can bring the
sour g****s. BTO will bring his note pad and
camera to try to figure out all the faces and
names. Oberg can bring leftovers from last years
Grey cup party at the Cwb. All 8 directors will walk
around in a group with the friends of the CWB
hired as bodyguards. Goodale and Pat Martin will
bring the cops telling them we are doing
something illegal. Who could miss an event this
large I'll be there.
