Your comments about our youth are probably what our parents said about us. I do know I don't have a good handle on the skill set necessary to run a lot of today's equipment. Also know I made more money in the office than putting hours in on a tractor. Farming is a business and to be successful you need good management skills. Whether the next generation has those skills remains to be seen.

There is a bit of truth to this string. We took
home ec out of schoold so no one can cook, the
mechanics of building dune buggies and go carts
is being frittered away poking at buttons. Now
mathematics has nothing to do with learning the
                  multiplication tables. Gotta wonder.

                    Apparently the youngens don't like
hearing the truth er let the facts get
in the way, when it comes to Comedian
farmin. My Son said to me the other
day, "No way, will I ever, ever, ever,
                    be a f*(kin farmer". Thinkin back, I
recall having the same conversation wit
my Father, years ago. Lazy rangs waitin
to have it all served up ta them on a
silver platter, cus mom and dad got
pensions and rrsps wes don't haveta pay
fer nothin. Buy land, fergit it!

Grammar, spelling and sentence structure aren't important to some people either...and yet they still feel compelled to post here.

I just had a moment of enlightenment! A bell ringing....BTO is....EMINEM!!!!! He rhymes and talks smack and has buckets of money. Just a wealthy rapper, doing the best he can by placing his money into farmland for his kids' future!

                          1) No Kids.

                          2) Ain't No Future in Farming.

                          3) Got on the Rhyming Trip oh say 10-11 Months ago when Freewheat was Rhyming/Poeming to The Ungrateful Massses on Here. Thought I'd give it a Shot.

EMINEM, when is your next CD release? You are recession proof. Selling rhymes in hard times, and then buying farmland. Deep down you appreciate your Hutterite neighbors, its hundreds of times better than your growing up in that Detroit squalor.
