Someone alot smarter than me will have to poke holes in your plan. But if someone would have taken the F'n bull by the horns and made something of what is already in place that works in the new envirnment that will be created when the new legislation is passed we would be alot further ahead instead of digging their heels in and lobbing shit grenades back and forth.
Everyone talks about the crazy 8 from the 15 CWB BODs. Where are the other 5 appointed members and where do they stand on this. Two elected members resigned. If change was imminent what were they waiting for? Isn't it better to be part of the decision making process that will ultilmately change the environment you have to operate in than stand there with your heels dug in and head in the sand? The Board meetings must have been hell. Get on with it!!

I think I see what you are suggesting CP.

From the average farmers perspective this new entity would be a clearing house and allow buyers and sellers to make offers to each other for various products wheat being only one of the many products farms produce/use.

Take Wheat as an example Small farmers would be able to put their grain together to satisfy the customers requirements and still pick up some of the potential blending gains. Larger farms would be able to deal directly with buyers easier and the cash pricing information would be more transparent to them.

Another example might be a russian company offering x containers of UREA at x price for delivery at x location

I think its a great idea in theory

"good idea in theory" referred to the challenge (politics & other bullshit) of changing the CWB into this type of entity.

good to go with a wad of cash?

2 .Need employees who don't carry aound a
                      Security blankie.
                      3. Need a few experienced strong voices.
                      Skills.Harder to come by.

4 Need a cohesive core of farmers
                      ...yesterday.....who can actually make snap
                      decisions.

I was just reading that quite a few farmers are
going to Ottawa Monday morning to be in the
gallery when it receives third reading.

Do you think it could be offered as a flow thru share offering?

Get a tax break and all the upside if it succeeds.

Great plan and if Oberg had a brain that's where western farmers would be right now!
