    adoption

As a adopted person i was a bit taken aback by bto comments, not hurt ive got a tough but but do wonder what goes on in the vast expanses of some peoples mind.......

in last 5 yrs ive found my birth mother ,some other siblings and my real mum my adopted one has become best freinds with my biological mother, its a long and story with many twists and turns.

ps i always knew about my birth mother but never chose to seek her but when a brother popped up i didnt know about he wanted to contact her and it started from there, she a lovely old lady now in a wheelchair and we will have chritmas eve together.

sorry its not a marketing thread

Thank you for that thread! My husbands Aunt was adopted into a large family, the youngest and perhaps the most intriguing member of a large very "English" family, she brings so much colour to our lives. I cannot imagine the family without her! She is a gift!

Having a child for some is relatively simple; adoption is a carefully planned decision, I suspect any adopted child should know how much they were wanted!

        Malle;
Nice to hear things have turned out well for you. We have recently adopted 2 children, and I hope they can find peace if, and when, they contact their biological family.

Mallee: I would never take anything BTO says to heart. His comments are made for shock value and to invoke a response from other readers. As someone else here said, "don't feed the troll".

Mallee, this is a very special time for you. It might
change who you are. I was very involved in a
group that helped adoptees to find their
birthparents. Please know that a mother giving
up a child puts the child first, out of the greatest
love and biggest sacrifice. Young mothers today
are less likely to make that decision because
society has made a lot of changes. It is sad in
many cases where children are raising children
and babies are suffer the consequences. All
babies are so precious and every one deserves a
chance at a great life. To all adopting parents,
congratulations on opening your hearts and
homes and all birthmothers who make the
                  ultimate sacrifice.

Mallee it is heart warming to see people like you adopt, when in certain areas of the world the need is so great. Giving a child a good start doesn't just change their life but the lives of all the people around them. Which brings us to BTO, one has to really wonder how his childhood went.
His view of the world sounds like it comes from looking through holes in a bed sheet!!! The best of luck to you Mallee

Found out almost everything that can be found out except the identity of my father, i not that fussed but would love to put the final piece together, all my birth mom has told he was hungarian blonde haired blue eyes and 10 yrs younger which would make him about 68 so there a fair chance he is around. Not something i orry about but would be intersting could have another tribe of siblings elsewere, my birth mom has told my sister and brother there fathers names but mine is shrouded in mystery, but another sister who my birth mother bought up till she was 9 can remember a man the same man popping in out of her moms lifes, if i had time and your interest i would tell you all but i have 5 other siblings so far.
So many sseeking there parents turns out to be a disaster on both sides im one of the lucky ones
