just wondering if anyone was A: using them prior to their demise, and B: has anyone got their money from RBC yet?

RBC wanted me to leave my funds there to open a trading account, but I didn't like their rates, and the fact they don't have an internet platform.

any info/comments appreciated.

Same situation here, unfortunately I havnt found much better. Had an account with RBC DS in Winnipeg closed my account because I had an account with MF Global and they didnt think I was doing enough volume with them. Be tough to bring myself back to opening an account with them after that incident... Maybe better brokers in different cities. From what I have found is none of the big names offer online trading platforms. If you want to have online trading almost have to be dealing with a US company... Little Scary.

keep me posted if you hear anything, the fellow I talked to said it'd be a while but I'd imagine I went to bottom of the list after saying "no" to their offer.....

I hear you on the american based trading platforms, I bet alot of the MF Clients down south have a snowballs chance of getting their $ back, thank god for Canadian Investment protection laws. It was an expensive lesson for me but live and learn.
