Douglas Campbell said: "Had a meaningful consultative process been engaged to find a solution which meets
the concerns of the majority...." (We could argue all day about whose majority is on which side but..) the judge is saying the rights that other provinces have, should not be extended to even a minority in the prairies. He is also implying that if a majority wants to trample the rights of a minority they should have the right to do so. He is also suggesting that a balanced debate can take place when one side has spent millions of dollars advocating their position for over a decade, and the other side even has its posts removed from any CWB propaganda! A vote will never be the way to solve this situation because the facts and RELAVENT issues have been so throughly obscured by years of advertising. Never doubt that he who controls the media controls what ever they like.

This is a extremely regetable but somewhat predictable out come, the ball is back in our court but the match is not over!!!!!

I believe Harper is smarter than this. He has played his cards very well.

The government can have a plebiscite, but since the cwb is so stupid and decided to involve the entire country, Harper could include every farmer from the east to west coast to vote on the matter. He could have a vote including all farmers in the designated area only as well, not just those with permit books.

Harper could also implement the cwb across Canada and see how well that goes over. That would end the debate pretty quick.

Now if I had gobs of money, maybe I could ask a judge if I could have my vote on those ships that eight directors decided to buy.

Its a long road yet, but Harper just gained lots of options.

Think about it, he could just rescind the law and end it very quickly.

How the **** does this make any sense? It's as
if they want a confrontation. if there isn't an open
market on aug 1 2012, what should be done?

Minister Ritz will pass this bill But in the
meantime, your money is being eaten away by
hungry writers and media and contracts designed
to protect turf. The antics are so partisan, so
feigned, so flamboyant, that the formats must
now be orchestrated by Winnipeg's drama-king, Kevin Lamaroux. Pars

The Liberals will use the CWB as an issue to
penetrate and court the farm vote in the next
                election.

That is why it is important for progressive farmers
to become aggressively protective about the upcoming rescindation. Make no mistake. The
platform for the next federal election will be to
                revive the CWB Act. Pars

                  One other question.

What kind of ****ing dumb ass lawyers does this government employ.

All they had to do is keep nailing home the point about 47.1 and say " ... the government is not taking any grains away from the cwb's mandate..."

You really gotta wonder how stupid these lawyers are!!!!

Here's a quote from the Judge yesterday.

"What they're asking for is a declaration the minister broke the law. What comes out of that isn't before me," he said.

Interesting quote here from the judgement.

"The Applicants confirm that the validity of Bill C-18, and the validity and effects of any legislation which might become law as a
result of Bill C-18 are not in issue in the present Applications."

little wonder there is little respect to judges like this who make such stupid decisions which will be appealed in a higher court anyway ,what a waste of money paying more lawyers.
