    NO VOTE!! 4 Reasons

4 Reasons why a there should not be a vote marketing choice.

1 The CWB is being completely disingenuous when they promote their farmer's decision by ballot. They totally ignored the barley vote.

2 The issue is tainted, just as judicial proceedures are moved to a different venue because a fair trial cannot be conducted. A fair vote on market choice could only be conducted if the choice side could spend millions for over a decade promoting freedom. (While using exaggerations, extrapolations and fabrications to make their point.) It can't be done!

3 An acceptable voters list would be impossible to construct. Just producers, by pemit book, I have two, others have more. Okay 1 per producer, do you equally weight the 80 acre guy with the 10,000 acre guy? And we have just disenfranchised those who could grow wheat and are growing other things because of the CWB. What about the landlords they have a stake too, then maybe agribusinesses, or the consumer, where do you stop!!!

4 You don't use plebicites to determine issues relating to individual rights or the rights of a minority, or to extending equality to other regions. This is because the majority by voting in their own interests can trample or ignore the rights of a minority.

That is the reason the govenment is elected to determine the actual realities involved in a decision, and decide on the basis what is most beneficial to the largest number of people, while protecting the rights and aspirations of the minority.
And that is exactly what the Federal government is doing, with the approval of the governments of Alberta and Saskatchewan. They know what is good for tax revenues.

    Am I right ??

Just an aside, I am not implying that, there is not actually a majority in favor of choice, I believe there is. I think the CWB knows that too which is why they so carefully orchestrated their fiasco/election

          Okay, I believe there shouldn't be a
vote BUT if it is forced on us here is
          (again) how it should happen.
Farm tax returns only. You are a
landlord that doesn't file farm tax? To
bad. (if we let you vote why not
somebody who may buy land next year).
If we get caught up in farm size it
becomes a pissing contest. Acres vs
          bushels vs dollars.
If we use permit books we deny everybody
who is avoiding the CWB like we've been
told to do if we don't like it.
Either you are a farming taxpayer or
          not. Simple/honest unmanipulable voters
list. (and I would rather let dairy
          farmers vote than retired non-farming
          landowners)
Is it fair? No. But its as close as we
will get if we have to do a vote.
          (which is utter bullshit)

If we are forced to a vote. Over 100,000 grain sales. Result by province.

pgluca is right, there is no way that anyone could ever design a vote that would be deemed fair by all sides.

NO VOTE. We'll excercise our choice with our deliveries.

Voting for rights for the slaves.

                  This is absurd!

Ritz better invoke closure and proceed. The
courts are a fiasco. The fox is looking after the
chicken coop. The left could fast track a biased
judge. Next they'll fix another vote. Big joke. Shut
this shise show down, throw the thieves in jail
and throw away the key. Or best still banish them
to Siberia far from a free country.

You want a real fiasco; then just shut the courts down. The real problem is the very attitude that individuals should have their way. Attack that opinion and you and all other supporters are at the extreme edge of dissent in any supposed democratic society.
Please reread your history book and change your attitude really quick for all our sakes.

Voting is fine for elections, motions at you local co-op board etc. But this is my business. No one has the right to vote on what goes on within my business. I will not surrender my sovergnty.

There is only 1 reason there will not be a vote. The pro CWB would win
