    Future of the CWB

CWB prepared for 2012-13 marketing year

CWB President and CEO Ian White today issued the following statement:

"The passage of Bill C-18 into law heralds significant change for the CWB and for Prairie farmers. The CWB has been preparing for this change for many months, developing both pool and cash programs for farmers for the upcoming crop year. Details about new 2012-13 programs will be announced soon.

Amid all the change, one thing remains the same: the CWB will market farmers' grain. We will work to achieve the best prices for farmers and superior service for customers in Canada and around the world.

The beauty of the CWB now and into the future is that we are here for Prairie farmers. Farmers' success is our success. We will provide ongoing value to farmers by building upon 75 years of marketing experience. By continuing to earn farmer support, the CWB will retain its excellent reputation in the eyes of Canadian and international customers.

The CWB is working hard to market the 2011-12 crop. As we head towards the 2012-13 crop year, farmers and grain buyers alike can have peace of mind knowing that the CWB is financially secure, with the continued Government of Canada guarantees on borrowings.

On behalf of the CWB, I thank all the farmers and customers who have given us their support and look forward to continuing these longstanding relationships. The CWB is here for you."

Ian White has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Wheat Board since March 31, 2008. He has extensive senior management, agribusiness and commodity marketing experience in Canada, Australia and the United States.

Give all your land to Cargill, so you can rent it back for an inflated price.

        I_F,

        Why select Cargill?

Are they the only grainco... in western Canada?

What happened to all your allegence to the CWB? Now you can prove your co-operative spirit... being able to sell the CWB MORE than just wheat and barley!

Or is your mind so taken over by dimentia... that you must keep this up?

Should we try to find a space for you in a hospital somewhere?

Where would be your desired location?

              Why is I-F so bitter?

Nothing has been taken from him personally. If he is a farmer and thats a big if, he can still do what he has always done nothing has changed there.

My theory is I-F and people like him really believe they have no value as an indivdual they must be a part of a group to have value and the bigger the group the greater the value.

This is why they see the loss of the monopoly as so dreadful, their group or clan has just become smaller so they se thier own selfworth as being deminished.

Quite sad actually to have such low self worth.

Therapy can help you with that I-F
