So what happens to dummy organisations like the Western Barley Growers if the CWB is gone? Will the Federal and Provincial Governments keeping pumping funds to them now or is there no longer a need to feed their puppets?

Hey grassfarmer, get involved and join the organizations and two things might happen. One, you'll get a whole new perspective on the world and two, you will be able to help chart the future of not only the organizations, but the industry as a whole.
You'll find it an empowering and enlightening experience!

Grain Commission, and get us soma those

are heard. Who needs laws anyway? We
got the home PC and brokers ta help us
Comedians go broke. Trade is now in the
fast lane. What did we get fer givin up
the single desk = 0, nothin, nada,

Getting something in exchange for the single
desk?
It's like somebody paying me for the privilege of
assuming the mortgage liability on my farm. I
would have gladly bought my way out of that
worthless liability to my farm, let alone expect
someone to buy it fr me.

What happens to Dummy organizations like the NFU now that their sacred cow has been "steamrolled" and heading for then rendering plant?
You better donate some more time and money to keep the fight on. Maybe ABP and CCA are looking for new directors?

No problem with the NFU silverback, they will coninue to fight many battles on behalf of their members from all sectors of agriculture. Their funding is entirely from member subscriptions and donations.
My question was what happens to groups like the Western Barley Growers who are supported to the tune of thousands of dollars per member with Government funding now that they are no longer needed as a front in the anti-cwb campaign.
I must say I find it ironic that these "free market/free enterprise/no Government intervention" groups are the biggest subsidy pimps around.
