The CWB is a Hoax
For 53 years Western Farmers have been tricked by the Federal government into giving up their wheat to the so called “Monopoly” while their eastern farmers reap the benefits. Eastern Canada elects the federal government and Western Canadians pay the bill whether they be farmers, loggers, miners, fishermen or oilmen.
Western Canada has been colonized by the Bureaucrats in Ontario and Quebec.
Imagine a magician in front of a large audience. He is doing some fancy slight of hand. He has a fine white handkerchief and a beautiful crystal ball. The handkerchief floats in the air and the crystal ball disappears. You ask how did he do it? He may in fact be the most cunning magician in the world, but the fact remains that you have been tricked.
This is like the Canadian Wheat Board and their Monopoly Hoax. You can ask all the typical questions. Do they get me the best returns? Are they operating for the least cost? Did they back off the Vancouver freight? You can go on and on. But you are not asking the right questions. The Monopoly is a Hoax. You have been tricked by the masters!
Yes the CWB had a Monopoly during the war. Many things were done under the War Measures Act. Most of the War measures were discontinued after the war. The CWB was left in tact to provide a marketing service to western Canadian Farmers as an adjunct to their marketing options. After all the CWB did exist prior to the war as a dual marketing service from 1935 to 1943. Why take it away entirely when it had been functioning that long. Read the following from the 1947 version of the CWB Act which we still have today:
Canadian Wheat Board Act
32.(1) The Corporation shall undertake the marketing of wheat produced in the designated area in interprovincial and export trade and for that purpose shall
(a) buy all wheat produced in the designated area and offered by a producer for sale and delivery to the Corporation at an elevator, in a railway car or at any other place in accordance with this Act and the regulations and orders of the Corporation;
Note: If you do not live in the designated area then you cannot use the CWB as a marketing option. Wheat and Barley are grown all across Canada. Only we in the designated area can choose to offer our grain for sale to the Board. The Board will then undertake to market it for those who choose. The designated area has not further significance, and the balance of the CWB Act applies equally to all of Canada. This is obviously a federal Statute operating under the division of powers granted in the Constitution. The Federal Government has the right to regulate interprovincial trade and commerce in wheat and they have chosen to exercise that power. Therefore trade in wheat without a license is prohibited just like driving without a drivers license is prohibited. Read on:
45. Except as permitted under the regulations, no person other than the Corporation shall
(a) export from Canada wheat or wheat products owned by a person other than the Corporation;
(b) transport or cause to be transported from one province to another province, wheat or wheat products owned by a person other than the Corporation;
(c) sell or agree to sell wheat or wheat products situated in one province for delivery in another province or outside Canada.
46. The Governor in Council may make regulations
(c) to provide for the granting of licenses for the export from Canada, or for the sale or purchase is otherwise prohibited under this Part;
(d) to prescribe the terms and conditions on which licences described in paragraph (c) may be granted, including a requirement for the recovery from the applicant by the Corporation or any other person specified by the regulation, of a sum that, in the opinion of the Corporation, represents the pecuniary benefit enuring to the applicant pursuant to the granting of a licence, arising solely by reason of the prohibition of exports of wheat and wheat products without a licence and the then existing differences between prices of wheat and wheat products inside and outside Canada;
(e) to provide for the granting of licences for the transportation, from one province to another province, or the sale or purchase for delivery anywhere in Canada, of wheat or wheat products, which transportation, sale or purchase is otherwise prohibited under this Part, and to prescribe the terms and conditions of the permission granted in those licences;
So has the Governor in Council made allowances for the granting of licences? You bet he has. And these requirements do not apply just to the designated area or just to commercial wheat. It applies to all Canadians wherever they live and whatever type of wheat they grow, be it certified seed, ancient organic varieties of feed.
What do you have to do to get a licence to export grain. Simple. You pay a licence fee. You don’t have to sell your grain to the board and buy it back. They simply calculate a fee. You send them a check and away you go.

14. The Corporation may grant a licence for the export, or for the sale or purchase for delivery outside Canada, of wheat, wheat products, barley or barley products if
(a) the export, sale or purchase of the grain or products for which the licence is sought does not adversely affect the marketing by the Corporation, in interprovincial or export trade, of grain grown in Canada;
and
(b) the applicant pays to the Corporation a sum of money that, in the opinion of the Corporation, represents the pecuniary benefit enuring to the applicant pursuant to the granting of a licence, arising solely by reason of the prohibition of exports of grain or those products without a licence and the then existing differences between prices of that grain or those products inside and outside Canada;

Does it actually work like that?
……..NO!!!
The wheat board says that they have a Monopoly and you are forced to sell your grain to them because they say you may have not other options. You are told that you cannot buy a licence for any sum of money. In fact they say that all across Canada Licences are free.
But….. and this is a big one!
Inside the designated area you have to buy your grain from the Wheat Board to get your “free” licence. Outside the designated area you don’t. Where does the law say that????
It doesn’t. This is a Hoax. And it is probably Criminal. How long will Western Farmers be discriminated against as second class citizens."
Rod Flaman was elected to end this CWB Hoax.
Instead Rod did everything to ...stop... 'Freedom' from being established and DID NOT protect property rights Rod so valiantly promised us he would protect.
