    Mustardman;

I was there. After seizing the vehicles, customs officials TOLD us to remove them and go home.

Then they turned around and charged the very same people for obeying a direct request to remove their own vehicles and drive away.

You are the person who has it mixed up.

I did NOT go to jail... because I disobeyed Customs officials' direct instructions... and refused to remove my truck from Customs property.

It costed Canada Customs to tow my Semi and store it...(to Milk River the nearest impound yard) big dollars... which they did not want to have to pay... but were legally obligated to pay if the farmers left their vehicles at the border. So the offices TOLD these people to remove their vehicles.

I believe it was fraud for these Customs officers to charge the farmers.

And Tom if you were in Ontario you could have just
Driven across the border no problem???

Proper licences and paperwork is needed wherever
you are. But then again a Jail term Was needed by
the farmers to start the "legend"

Oh by the way hopper the World markets were
being under cut by the Export Enhancement
Program from the US at the time.
The US accused us of being subsidized (crow) while
they were selling 3 bushels for the price of 2. Land
of the free and home of the brave were screwing
markets left right and centre but they kept their
price up at home. Bastards cost us alot of money

        Mustard,

ACTUALLY yes... in Ontario... I did declare my wheat... just like I did at the Couts AB crossing... and I crossed the border... into the US... and came back...

In 1996 two weeks after they had already seized my Peterbuilt truck...
On return to Canada; Canada Customs cared less I had wheat with me when I entered the US. My truck was NOT seized at the Ontario Border crossing.

This farce was a total set up by CISIS ordered by the PM and Goodale I believe. Otherwise as what happened to me in Ontario... nothing remotely would have ever happened at 'designated area' Canada Customs crossing points. Canada Customs had special awards plaques givin to them by the CWB... which proves my point.

It's amazing how you can call the americans "bastards" for costing "us" money, but not a peep when there is at least $1 a bushel difference in HRS wheat day in and day out!

I guess "we" don't need that money hey?

            Mustard,

You must live on a different planet or in an alternate reality.

Check when the CROW ended. The US was over EEP by 1996 as well when Goodale past his Order in Council stopping us from the LEGAL sale of our grain, as growers... in the US.

Does this mean you are a student of the time cube?
