Record warm weather in SK is the La Nina?

It sounds like there is not much snow cover in the US, is this a start to some droughty weather? Have any of the farm weather guys made any comments you have heard?

And I do not miss water running under two feet of snow in late October. I do not miss roads being washed out from frozen culverts in February.

After boxing day went to Valemount Bc,
almost every day fresh new snow up Rocky
Mountain. Last time play good snow is 2
feet deep. And when drive going home all
I see is 2 inch or less all way. I feel
something funny going on like as to why
mountain get fresh snow almost daily and
after Hinton do not. Werid or What.

We have alot of winter to go but it seems strange to be able to walk around outside the first week of January in a light jacket.

I'll take 14 degrees warmer and 20% of average moisture in January over June and July any day.

Typical Canadian weather variability...nothing to worry about. By February we'll be back in the deep freeze and looking for a heavier weight suit of underwear.

Having fed cattle in minus 40 and lower temps and survived, I'll take our current temps as a blessing indeed.

One thing that bothers me is these people who are not prepared for winter in the way they drive their vehicles and wear summer weight jackets and just shoes on their feet. If they had to walk or sit it out before help arrived should an emergency or accident immobilize their vehicle, they would be ill-prepared for survival. School kids getting on school buses are not dressed adequately either IMHO.

Exactly Wilagro, and having a cellular phone in
your car won't help you much if emergency
vehicles can't get to you for several hours in a
raging blizzard.
