I talked to a Syngenta seed company
contact in AR this morning.
It basically reverifies what we already
know.
With bean number, it all depends on what
you use for planted area?
Originally that was supposed to be 19
million ha.
That is not the case now. It is more
like 17.5 to18 million ha.
That puts you in the 45 million ton
range.
Some say with rains last week and again
maybe next week,
some will disc and or shred the corn and
replant beans late.
just seed....
Shoot for some sort of production in
2012.
But even if they do, seems to me this is
20 bushel/acre potential
type stuff. It like planting beans in
July in nothern hemisphere.
low inputs etc. risk of frost in late
April/May too.
Thus even if more rains come, 45 mmt
seems reasonable.
So Corn is pouched.
Klause what have you heard.
