    Enbridge Northern Gateway Project

Going to submit a short letter tommorow. Saying
the project should proceed so our energy supply
is secure and supplies by our abundant
    resources, existing infrastructure and pipelines.
And expertise. We need jobs. We need
development. And our communities need tax
    dollars.

Also I want to tell them that foreigners should not
be awarded presentation time. You should be a
Canadian citizen to participate in Canadian
    strategic planning. Period.

      Parsley,

As a grain grower who has farmed over top Enbridge pipe lines... and dealt with these folks for decades... they have ALWAYS treated our farm and our people with integrety and are first class operators!

I am with you on this for sure!

I suspect that until we have a republican
president, we are banging our heads against a
brick wall. America is not speaking, the socialists
        are.

Good for you Tom. We can't afford sweeping
energy transition in this economic climate Just
imagine all the cash Pelosi and her gang could
swoop up if they get IPO's for a company who
manufactures adapters for farm machinery that
transition say, augers from gas to windmills or
natural gas. I read her balls are so big, they are
fastened on her chest so they don't chaff. Pars

              I submitted this one today:

I am an organic farmer from Southeast
Saskatchewan.  Oil is necessary for farming. Our
tractors and augers and combines and even
garden tillers run on oil.  Change to an alternate
source is irresponsible because it is economically
unfeasible in this global fiscal climate, with the
              financial forecast ominous.

Saskatchewan has vast pools of oil, both
              developed and undiscovered. Local rural
communities thrive because oil activity creates
jobs and spinoff businesses. Taxes from oil
provides our rural communities with revenue that
              enriches our lives.

Along with the exploration and development of the
Bakken oil fields, present pumping wells and
sources will  guarantee both local and national
'Canadian made & owned' energy security. Like
alberta grown beef, or farm processed products,
we should be branding it, not turfing it.

Oil infrastructure is already in place, awaiting
              additional development. Western Canada has
highly trained and experienced oilfield workers.
Many farmers and their children at some time
work in oil.  Venture capital is willing to invest in
oil because the track record is credible. Oil
research is leaping forward with  innovation, and
changing daily to meet environmental concerns
Oil royalty paybacks to governments enhances all
              Canadians' lives .

Made in EU windmills wont. Emailing Solyndra
for adapters  for the swather will hardly help me or
              my province or my country.

The  pipeline must proceed. Farmers need a
reliable supply of Canadian- made energy that is
cheap and and works with existing machinery and
the Canadian way of life.  We have -40 weather,
and we are simply not prepared to put our lives at
risk to experiment with electric battery trucks Or
windmill heated houses.  Many rural Canadians
do not even yet enjoy high speed Internet service,
so creating entire alternate systems of energy is
              not the priority.

Anyone who does not have a Canadian
citizenship should NOT be allowed to present oral
or written arguments before any Canadian
              pipeline committee.  Non-Canadians should have
zero input in deciding or influencing the Enbridge
Northern Pipeline Project hearing with regards to
what energy systems we use, or at what cost.

It is incumbent upon the panel to disallow
foreigners attempting to determine or influence
Canadian citizens from expressing what we want
and need.  (who doesnt dread attending a panel
where the usual  oil-hating militants harrange and
screech and burn police cars and then riot?) I
dont want to attend because you have set it up a
process that encourages me to not attend.

Considering the process you have set out, I want
to respectfully remind this committee, that
Canadians dont need foreign rabble rioting
because  we have the ability to make our own
decisions; which it seems you have not
              recognized.

Oil pipelines are vital to farms' econmic health and
              we must build this one.

I'm in favour of the Northern Gateway pipeline, but let's realize it should be up to the people who actually live along the route.....not a farmer in Saskatchewan, or me a farmer in Alberta? Maybe just the people of BC should make the decision.....after all they are the ones who will be living with the consequences if something goes wrong....and getting very little of the revenue?
If we are going to limit the debate to "Canadians" does that mean the Chinese, Korean, French, USA, Norway, and Japanese companies that own most of the tarsands, shouldn't be allowed to present either?

I'm sending a letter taday too, AGAINST
THIS ER ANY PIPELINE. Until it kin be

develepment kin be done in a

natural resources ta others? Shy can't
we build more value added industry in

at higher prices. Wes currently given
it away, and ultimately are being left
with a hellofa mess, poisoning the might
Athabasca river and our own air. This
is a crime against humanity fer f sake.

The way I view it, if the government of Canada
has hearings or has input, all Canadian citizens
should be able to participate in them. For
example, a national park's hearings should hear
from all Canadians. A regional park not. If
federal money is spent, why would I not get a
say!? On the other hand, why should Christiane
from Brazil have any say at all? Pars

                          Parsley,

Here is a copy of the letter in support to:

                          <Date>

                          Honourable Christy Clark
                          Premier of British Columbia
                          Box 9041 Station PROV GOVT
                          Victoria, BC V8W 9E1

                          Dear Ms. Clark:

I'm writing to let you know that I support the Enbridge Northern Gateway Project. It's an important opportunity for Canada, in particular northern BC and Alberta.

It's the North's turn to host one of Canada's largest projects on the books today. Northern Gateway will be a $5.5 billion private sector capital injection into the economy, with over half of that amount spent on wages during its construction. Just the marine terminal operations in Kitimat represent nearly a billion-dollar capital expenditure.

I believe that Enbridge can build and operate Northern Gateway safely. The company has a proven track record with over 60 years of safe pipeline experience throughout North America. With their experience they will be able to apply the most modern technology and safety features to this project. Pipelines operate safely around the world and I believe this project will too.

For these reasons I urge you to support Northern Gateway and help make it a reality.

                          Sincerely,

                          <Your Name>

This project will help all Canadians... especially those in western Canada be on the forefront of Agricultural Innovation and Value Added food, fuel, fiber and industrial plant products.

With a little thought we can easily co-produce specialty plant products with the oilsands reclamation land and residual energy resources.

The Joint Review Panel for the Enbridge Northern
Gateway Project is an independent body,
mandated by the Minister of the Environment and
the National Energy Board. The Panel will assess
the environmental effects of the proposed project
and review the application under both the
Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and the
                            National Energy Board Act.

This a legislated duty, on behalf of all Canadians.
Not Chinese. Not Cubans. I'm not sure that the
panel understand their dutiy to Canada, paid for
by Canadians. I'm not entirely sure the woman
                            chair isn't incompetent. Pars
