    The tailings will/are already leeching
into the mighty Athabasca river near
Fort Mcmoney. Butt money trumps the
environment each and every time. Greed
and the need for speed are causing an
    environmental distaster. Butt who
cares? Out of sight, out of mind.
Hidden away in North central alberta,
which is fulla crakers and rednecks make
it perfect. Pulp mills and towns on the
backs of the Athabasca are currently
dumping all there shit in the river too.
    Ultimately all the tailings, poisons,
will flow into the Athabasca river,
which apparently has an amazing flushing
action. In fact the province of
Albertie believes this sort of thing is
    good for the environment.....

If a landowner objects to the use of his property (by way of either right of way or easement)by a pipeline companies, a Right of Entry order will be threatened, and sought by those companies. Check out url https://www.neb-one.gc.ca/ll-eng/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/90464/90550/554112/554219/554220/563832/586898/609961/A1S3G4_-_Letter_and_Order_RE-N081-01-2010.pdf?nodeid=609827&vernum=0&redirect=3 and see this landowner has had many rights taken from him and how the NEB has allowed this company the right to abandon the pipes in place (and leave those asssociated costs of rotting pipes and historical contamination to be born by the landowner.) Lets all speak up for fairness and justice. Just say no to irresponsible, unsustainable development.

          Fairness... Thanks for the document.

I read that Nova can only abandon and leave the pipe in place if granted
          "leave" with the Board.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Again, it seems to me that farms have not been adequately protected nor
          respected by the regulators.

Perhaps old regs when farming was considered a peasant pastime, and
any respect for farmland was deemed counter to the industrial dream.

          Technicalities over principles.

I agree we need more respectful and fairer regulations.

          Cheers... Bill

Would you please go to the topic list under commodities and Enbridge Pipeline for more info on the subject.

I hope it can explain more of the issue in detail.

            I await a reply.
            Thanks, Fairness
