We rented land from investors.... I can't say they're
    evil (yet).

However, they have no profit in it at all... Unless the
    value keeps going up.

They buy at the asking price.

They get less than 4% back a year compared to the
    initial investment, not counting interest.

They sign for a decade at a time.

I've seen an investor farm's fields in the area... I
didn't realize wild oats was a marketable
    commodity. LOL.

Kaeto we are in the Game. But what is
going on is BS. China Buying land. So you
want to work for the Chineese Govt some
day. Or compete against a pension fund
with 100,000,000.00 mim investment. I am
pointing out History repeats it self and
          will again.

We are all managers. Some guys are given millions to work with and when they make a mistake, they get a few more million. The average farmer making a small mistake could lose his farm.

Do I think these management/investment firms are good? No but they will be in the game until their investors find a new or better return for their money, providing there is any left after a couple of bad years farming.

On an average farm a farmer can make do with covered costs. No matter what, a management/investment company has wages and high end management fees to pay as well as the original investor. Or do they screw someone to avoid paying???

I agree but are they helping Agriculture
in Saskatchewan. No Some one is going to
take it on the Chin. I think its going to
be the investors. If average farmers cost
per acre are 200 plus and theirs with all
the cost they are paying for land is 400
who is making money. Really Who. Its a
ponzi scheme over and over and I feel
sorry for the sucker investors that think
their on their way to a big pay day.
