What was a bin in 1980? what is it now? Have you bought one lately? How about a semi?
Over production of wheat worldwide gives this price. So we want to produce more?
If you get 50 canola you make money, but what is the risk at 20 or 10? Take a look out your window how many farms 10 years ago, 20 years ago. We're buying into this system of being controlled into making less per acre therefore need to be big acres to even make a minimum wage. Who benefits from that, is it your local community?

What would the price of canola be if we all were producing excel? And what would our cost and risk be? More and more the world doesn't want gmo we are going further into it, not saying I believe there is a risk or not, doesn't matter i am not the customer.

The oil industry and other outside money is masking the unstable situation our farms are in. That's who is buying the land guys making or taking money from other industries. Our ag ministers are spinning this to mean that times are good on the farm itself it's not. Unless you are in one of those areas bumper crop year after year.

Who says the world does not want GMO when we will crush and export every pound that CDN growers grew in 2011?

You don't think the world is slowly wanting more natural foods etc. Again not arguing if it is good or bad not a scientist. The effects of gmo are debated likely because not enough study on it and how do you study the effect of something that may have gradual effects over a long period of time,so many variables. If we are gonna research wheat like I said if more bushels per acre compensate for trucking, bins etc. fine, it also has to compensate more for the risk as well and be a products that the world will continue to want. If you really asked someone would you like a natural orange or a gmo one which one would they take first?

But I consume it constantly knowingly and unknowingly and look at my memory and thought process it's almost gone! As proof I voted conservative for f sakes!

of them, F&*k Comedia make the switch.
Checkoffs, research funds are a scam,

With choice, maybe wheat research can begin to differentiate from yield & protein. KVD tossed away so many varieties in the past and even though its been gone for a few years, the titanic has not turned. Research can focus on many attributes. Even the Synchrotron in S'toon can be put to use helping develop other uses for wheat. The last thing we need right now is narrow-minded thinking.
