    Two things....

One - canola continues to climb rewarding those with patience
Two - fert prices continue to soften again rewarding those with patience - Trigger must be pulled within the next month to ensure supply.
    - On anouther note potash supplies have been repoted today to be vastly increasing as demand for the overpriced product has dipped in China and India and U.S farmers have been holding out.

I wonder what the price of potash will do when
the Bethune mine and the other expansions are
running full tilt. I know demand is growing I just
don't think it is fast enough to have all this new
    production and maintain high prices.

The cost to get potash out of the ground, processed and into a railcar is about 150 bucks a tonne. They are making a tonne of money, its more lucrative than mining gold.

Even if potash comes down to 300 bucks a tonne the companies are making money.

Hey, it don't matter to me what the fertilizer companies do.

If they choose not to make some margin on their inventory and sell it, which is what they are in business for, they can explain it to shareholders who might be wondering why they are choosing to hold back production when the world is starving for food and jobs.

And if I was the head of the fertilizer giants, might be more worried about what the shareholders say than a few farmers.
