Earth one to sell branded grain

Actually I hope they do good on that one. That is their plan anyway. I think its time someone put a Canadian brand on our crops and got a premium. If they can put a canadian brand on their grain and sell for more then I would think it is good for all of us.
Just another market. So maybe we should talk good of them, :-).
They intend to put out another IPO to raise money, if they do that should they not have also an open to public book keeping? Interesting times. Anyone with info?

As far as the local market direct to customer I would think the Hutterites got that market tied up. I would give them 0 chance to out do the Hutterite brand. They are going to have to look off shore or USA etc. My opinion.

Sprott Resource Corp. Announces Subsidiary, One Earth Farms Corp., Has Provided an Update Regarding its Ops and 2012 Outlook
Sprott Resource Corp. (SCP.TO), a company that invests in and operates natural resources that lost 2.5% yesterday, announced that its subsidiary, One Earth Farms Corp., provided an update regarding its operations and 2012 Outlook. One Earth Farms is not expected to have significant external financing needs in 2012. However, it is anticipated that external financing will be required for 2013, which will be a function of the company's financial performance in 2012 and growth expectations of both the cattle and crop divisions. An update with respect to crop yields in 2011 was also provided. Overall yields were below plan. One Earth Farms' objectives for 2012 include, amongst others, improving operational efficiency while achieving moderate growth. Management is currently targeting an increase to approximately 200,000 acres for crop and cattle operations, with a target of 8,300 cows and 4,300 yearlings and bulls in 2012.

Not wishing them any ill-will but...very likely they'll be bust by 2015.

I with wil on that, you can't sweep the bad stuff
under the rug for long. You either operate the
entire farm efficiently/cheaply or your into the
losses. Most guys get big by being cheap.

Actually a new stock offer would be only for raising money. Could not be possible to dispose of other stocks, in the way I said.

Maybe they'll grind some of that awful
pancake mix like the vermin brand that the
Huts used ta sell. Er try makin barley
cookies and bread, fer those who like
chewy stuff, that'll stick ta everything.

Well we do see the sun cross the sky unlike other places. Hint hint selling point. They are obviously not organic growers so if they can some how set a president that our grain is better, all the power to them. I just think it is a concept that is already been working on and to my knowledge has not worked in the past.

I think Wigmore Farms were trying this angle.
Not absolutely positive that it was a go, but I
remember reading an article on this somewhere.

Have we not been selling branded grain for the last 100 yrs.

In western Canada it is called CW. It gaurentees a minimum milling and baking quality for each class and grade.

What are they offering that is different? Or are they just taking our qualities and putting thier brand on it?

I would guess something to do with the indigenious peoples.

                          Did I say that right?

No big deal to Larry and crew, they get paid and walk away that much richer and smarter if it goes broke.

I can not believe that their is this much negativity about a company brading their own product. And what local market do the Hutterites have sown up? Do you really believe that the local market for wheat in Canada is farmer markets???? Maybe we do need the CWB. Hate to say it but holy shit.

Canadian wheat is a brand in itself. IF someone can put those specs on a brand and sell for more then all the power to them. Why anyone would pay more for the same product is beyond me, but there are lots of people looking for the fuzzy feeling when they purchase a product. Not a raw commodity usually, but maybe a final food product that a CONSUMER will buy with wheat traced back to an IP system large enough in scale to be able to supply a consistent volumen for said product. Maybe they are not so stupid.
