the Comedian gobermont, relative ta the
seizure of the Wheat Bored and framer
assets. Things are gettin interestin now.

Lawyers make a pile of money off of lawsuits
that have absolutely no grounds and they know
they havent a hope in hell of winning. They still
get pais.

It'll be interesting to see who actually reached in
their own jeans to pay the piper.

I'm starting to feel good about all these lawsuits. The judiciary will start to see just how frivolous and petty they all are.

Moreover, the new CWB is marching ahead with plans to operate in the new reality without the monopoly. The thing is, they're using those assets that the FCWB say were taken away.

They are also going through a shitload of lawyers that can't work on the other side of the debate because of conflict of interest.

In the cwb annual report it has the assets of the cwb at 4.1 billion and liabilities of 4.2 billion.

These guys are looking for 15 billion. I would think a judge might question the logic.

But assuming there is a 15 billion asset there, where has the return on that investment been going for the last ten years??? That should concern farmers more than these frivilous court cases.

What is 'good for the goose... is good for the gander'.

There are numerous Charter cases (that sought leave to the Supreme Court from the Federal Court of Appeal) that were lost. The 'Single Desk' vs Grain Growers as the courts clearly ruled there were NO CHARTER rights or protections... the CWB Act was simply authorised under the 'Trade and Commerce' heading of the Consitution Act 1867.

Further;

The Federal Government (Re: Parliament) is 100 per cent responsible for legislation under this 'Trade and Commerce' heading of the Consitution Act 1867... which the CWB Act (both old and new) was/is authorised.
