    Fuel prices, time to buy??

In know this isn't exactly marketing but......I was wondering wheather to load up on fuel. There is the issue of it's energy content if you buy now, maybe a person could preprice. Fertilizer is in place but I think there is the possiblity of quite a price risk on fuel. Any one got any thoughts??

"Summer grade" is supposedly available if you want it and can get it. I would have taken mine already but the local isn't handling it yet, they said next load. Retailer inventory and tank capacity constraints!!

Took delivery 2 weeks ago of 50% of this years expected use of summer diesel from local co-op retailer. Time will tell if it was the right decision or not.

if its summer from this year it isnt full summer yet. It takes 4 steps, about 2 weeks apart each, with the first step to summer starting last week and full summer by apr 15.
I think it is on the rise as well, not sure of prices. I know that The Rack can hedge fuel for u. Its about .05 for late april delivery above current and another .05 if u want to hedge the price out to harvest and payment on deliverys.
        Anyone found any cheap fuel?

Daylate: at this point in time what stage are we at then? Are we not partway into the transition already?

This stage of summer to winter, or winter to summer, depends on the company. Esso used to claim it does stages, while our local Coop says its either full winter or full summer.

Anyone know what the difference is, or how to have it checked to see if we are getting what they say we are getting?

Same here. A week ago the local coop fuel manager says summer fuel is available. Winter fuel on the delivery truck went into the cardlock tank.

COOP says winter diesel till Feb 28...
Is it a blend of some #1 in winter or #2 with additives? Any one know?
