I thought diesel fuel in Saskatchewan had to have a certain percentage of biodiesel in it? SO, if our canola continues to climb, then to will our diesel. Not just oil in diesel anymore.
I'm sure that the Co-ops can have both summer and winter diesel available, because its their refinery.
Coop does have both... it is outside temp that restricts movement... below minus 15 it gets hard or near impossible to pump.
I was told Winter has NO Biodiesel... so summer has often over twice as much 'bio' component... and I would not count on this 'bio' component being canola based. 'As cheap as possible' with animal fats/soy/palm as the 'bio' part is more the truth... which is why it gels so easy when it is cold.
I understand Canola 'Bio' added makes diesel flow better... not worse.
