AH Home!!!!!!!!! Ok Land in Sask Vs Property in Hawaii which is a better investment.

Ok here is the Million Dollar Question.
Land in Sask in our area is approaching
the $270,000.00 Mark per quarter. If you
can find one. Had a young chap leave a
EMail while I was gone asking if we
would rent some from him. I said we will
purchase the Two. He responded. No at
this time he believes we havent even got
    close to topping.
Property in Hawaii is down 50% from the
high. Hm its a place people love to go,
its safe, they speak english, they have
same stores as us and some banks. HM.
House at5 1.5 Mill use to be 3. On a
golf course 500 ft from the ocean. So
not ocean view unless you stand on the
roof but you back a golf course.
Land in Sask, Last stuff we bought
before the Jump. Less than $50,000. Now
    $200,000.00 Plus.
Farmers are funny at 200,000.00 the only
thing going for the land is 3.6 percent
interest locked in for 10. That is it.
Nice to say your worth so much but
really till you sell doesnt mean a
    thing.
My bet is the house in Hawaii will Jump
as soon at the World settles down. Price
of land in Sask will Decrease F A S T as
soon as interest rates go up or land
    companies investors realize their has
always been a small return after
expence's and that's it no huge profits
    like Oil and gas.
So yea the world is getting more people
each day but hey that's the same song
they have been singing since the 60s.
Have a great day and oh yea
    MAHALO!!!!!!!!!!!

Where are you getting 10 yr money for
3.6%? Lowest that I have heard is 3.9% so
far. That apparently was an FCC deal. I
also think we are near a top on farm land.
A classic sign of a top is that no one
could conceive of it going down. Back in
2005 there was the discussion of rent for
taxes in some areas. That wasn't that
      long ago.

Hey Ive been gone a while but 3.6 or 3.9
for 10 year money is a deal. Yes it seems
when every one who has land thinks it will
go higher and wont sell its getting close
        to top.
Profit from growing a crop is still what
        pays the bills.

          Fun with numbers.

the average mean ratio of gold/soybeans is 56

          1700/56=30 dollars per bushel

One of the valuables you might want to consider
in decisionmaking, besides money, is culture.

Do you value the Western ag culture we enjoy?

            Peaceful. Co-operation. Work ethic. Independent.
            Innovative. Neighbors. Safe. Common language.
            Curling.lol Educated. Familiarity

            1. Would massive foreign sales change our
culture dramaticaly? Say, 20,000 Mexican farmers
in Manitoba? How would it affect the culture?

2.If you moved to another country, would you long
            for "home"?

            3. Would you rather sell to your neighbor for less
money or sell to a broker in Singapore for the
most money? What are the effects of your
            decision?

            4. Land and location bind a culture. People die for
land. The West is 'home' to you? Or is anywhere
in the world home to you?

All are decisions you must make regarding the
land you own. Thinkin' over coffee this morning,
            slurp, Pars

Saskatchewan needs 20000 people to move here from somewhere else. Fast.

Pars living 3 to 6 months some place else isn't
what this is about, I love our springs summer and
                  fall, I hate our winters.
Which one will profit more buying 5 quarters in
sask today or house in hawai.
I'll go with hawai doubling not ask farm land.

I agree on the hawaii investment. Was there this winter again as well and on the bid island you can buy a qtr of ranch land for cows cheaper than you can here. Not that i want to ranch there particularly but the 20 minute drive to the beach or golf course in January is surely appealing. Better bet than Pheonix, Vegas, or farmland here at these prices IMO. Glad i also did expansion when everyone thought i was crazy.

family and no agriville or no special times. I
stayed off if you know what I mean.

See we both can agree on something.
The big island wins out. Stayed on all over the
years but the big island is the best.
