LWeber you are correct. (I have some '90's
Saturday night live skit in my head) yeeeew are
      coooorect sirrrrrr.
Yesterday afternoon I was in the local, pub. The
waitress lady is from Muskowekwan. I.R. She
suggested that in the past the band has "sold out"
the bands oil interests , and now the people do
not want the band to sell out their potash. Sprott
resources does not want to control the property
for farming, they want to be in control of the
property for what is under it!

You are right to a point hobby, at these interest rates. I dont care who you are, money is money and when things turn sour, the first guys to abandon ship are rats and investors, lookin for more..... simple math.
Larry you are wrong, IMO, time will tell. I (we),have been there, you have not, neither have they (loose money for three years in a row, and stay in it) . All is fun when the VLT is payin, but they(shareholders-big CEO's) will not like it when three or more spins don't go their way, and it will.
( I am sorry but barring n/d's) - If you have not made more money in the last three years than in the last twenty you deserve to fail.....and they have - look at thier numbers.
I don't give a *** but you can not be at 1/4 the net revenue and be in the game regardless of your status or land base and be in it long term.
F/N and retired guys runnin equipment .... come on !!!! Be real here. Add it up - too many cheifs not enough indians - have a close look at any rez in Canada, too many fingers in the pie to make it work. JMO
Well managed family farms will always be more succesful IMO.
Just stickin up for us small guys here.
One can throw all the money in the world at farming and Mother nature can puke you out......
I have seen first hand, large (40,000ac) farms go sideways b/c of poor micro management - they will all fail on macro management alone. This is not Iowa.
Mother Nature and hardend farmers rule, not corperate money, in Western Canada.
End of rant... and out of beer, lol

Almost with yo on that one Burbert, for one its all bad news, and its also always buying the biggest and best , Then turn around and screw the kids, money is mine and no one can do like me. Makes his money farming then buys a 1.5 million property in Hawaii that he might use a few months out of the year from last years profits, Plus the upkeep, when he finds out he has to purchase the land underneith his property for what his origional investment is worth it will double in value he can sell to some chinese with a daughter in the polynesian culture school then bitch some more.

Actually had a good circle island bus tour with a good tour guide that was from the past 30 years ago polynesian culture student. There is good reason they like tourists and investors. One is most of the rich properties on Oahu were purchased without the ownership of the land. Land was leased at one dollar if you built on it. Then the lease was able to change so that the lease was worth the value of the property. Most just gave back to the state. But today they the values are still worth much more.

Just clearified with daughter, the bus tour guide said land investment company owned the land and walked with the money later after putting the land lease up, was all legal.

Then why are they farming it? They could deal
with the reserves on the mineral rights without
                      farming the land.
