Actually had a good circle island bus tour with a good tour guide that was from the past 30 years ago polynesian culture student. There is good reason they like tourists and investors. One is most of the rich properties on Oahu were purchased without the ownership of the land. Land was leased at one dollar if you built on it. Then the lease was able to change so that the lease was worth the value of the property. Most just gave back to the state. But today they the values are still worth much more.

Just clearified with daughter, the bus tour guide said land investment company owned the land and walked with the money later after putting the land lease up, was all legal.

Then why are they farming it? They could deal
with the reserves on the mineral rights without
            farming the land.

What is the closest oil/gas/mine potential to the reserve you rent from?

I've read and listened to every public thing Eric Sprott
has said for quite sometime and believe he is like the
same "pool" of investors who believe the global
                  currency system is in trouble.

His play in ag is a drop in the bucket compared to
other ventures and is probably doing it for 3 reasons.

                  1-ag money
                  2-oil and gas money
                  3-investor client money

                    Boys and Girls (Burpfart)
Its farming. I purchase what I have when
No one wanted the land. Simple, Dad was
one of the largest farmers around when I
                    was growing up.
Watch what the hell is going on in the
world and get a plan and then follow it.
                    WHats so hard about that.
Most would have hauled the shit canola
in the bush in 2004 I didnt stored
turned and waited. Waited. Then sold for
what it was worth in 2004.
I wont purchase land in Sask now at
300,000. a quarter, Why show me the
profit. Buying a quarter share in a
house most on here could do.
Burpfart go crawl back under your rock.
Our local bands are fed up with MR Money
in Toronto. They know what he is their
for and he is trying to do what the
whiteman did in the past and this time
the smart bands are not falling for it.
At least some. Its a one trick pony and
will be gone in a while.

All I can say is, plus minus $80M. 150000 acres crop land, 22000 head of cattle on 100000 acres pasture, you need workers to do the work... Good luck. Will watch and wait for the crash. Remember Mother Nature rules!!!

Yes, Burbet you got it. This is going to be one
enterprise worth watching. This sure seems to be
the way. Business rules and buckets of other
peoples money are going to be applied to a farm.
Efficiency and economies of scale. The only
unontrolled variables are human resources, in
which they can pay to train, like any business, and
                              then the weather......the big equalizer!

One earth has as much to do with farming as Mcdonalds has to do with hamburgers.

McDonalds is about real estate and the property sells hamburgers in the mean time while the value goes up.
