So the Canadian global agribusiness is nearing its end. Too bad, it never really took on the challenge of what it could do as a global player, post CWB. So it makes me wonder, how ready were the people at Viterra anyway?
Was Mayo just blowing smoke to line his pockets? What about some of the directors that have ties to other agriventures?
Here is a list of other questions to ponder about the pending sale of Viterra.
1. Why didn't federated co-op take a stab at this business?
2. Why wasn't the cwb trying to get some assets?
3. Why do the Richardsons always get an invite for the table scraps instead of Patterson or P&H?
4. Does this change farmers business relationships with existing viterra facilties?
5. What happened to the Gavilon deal?
I have more but this is a starting point for discussion.
Any thoughts?
