    Viterra locations changing hands

So what happens to grain contracts with elevators changing hands? Makes my off combine sales for cashflow pretty shitty if I have to haul them to the nearest Viterra 65 miles away instead of the one I contracted at 3 miles away.

Hopefully there is a freight adjustment or on-farm pickup option.

good question..would i have to deliver on my sales agreement with viterra? wouldn't be ethical but would it be legal?

I have no problem honouring the contract as it was written (I'm sure there is fine print that can make me deliver to wherever they designate). I had planned on having a custom trucker pull out B train loads as the bins were full then topping them up to refill them. I just don't want to pay freight futher than the 3 miles from my bins to the existing facility.
Anybody have this issue before? I left a message at Viterra but my guy is gone for a few days (and I'm sure everyone there is dusting up there resume and trying to look good for new management)

Other than in your contract anything that the elevator agent may have led you to believe he has and his company has no liability to you for any mistakes he may have mistated or made. But seriously your delivery point will be the same, you think your dealing with the cwb, thank goodness that organization monopoly is gone.
