That would hurt some of their white soft winter wheat, but in would also really set ours back too.

Heard someone from SaskAg(I think) that 2 hours of -12C will kill our wheat right here. Because of being out of dormancy so early, the chances of receiving such cold weather is entirely possible over the next month or better. I would feel the WW has made it till mid May. It's more vulnerable this year than most years.

Cotton, for me it depends what is being
seeded. Where I am at, there are no
weeds yet, and a late April/early May
start is in the cards, so 1 burn off
should be it. Where I am putting RR
canola, I will spray a couple weeks
after seeding. No one said it has to
look pretty!
Supposed to get cooler and rain or snow
this weekend any way, so who knows? It
is getting harder to find snow now, and
boy that is early for here. This is
dreamlike to me...

I think that pre seed application is a must this year, would hate to risk planting first and trying to get a pre emergent burn off this year, easier to do with peas. Went to Richie Bros auctions site to pick up a combine yesterday and the ground was blowing down there south of Regina, them guys go from flooded to now blowing soil. Perhaps some of that land should not be in crop production.
