Come on Rural Alberta, Stand Up For Yourself!

Come on Rural Alberta, Stand Up For Yourself!
On April 23, 2012 ,you will get the chance to bring a screeching halt to a clear plan that will continue to erode and diminish your basic property rights. This present Redford government truly believes you aren’t capable of running your own life and making the right decisions about your own property!
They believe government knows best and they should decide you are too dumb to make any decisions in regard to what you do with your own stuff!
Alison Redford is an UN “human rights” lawyer, who clearly believes the UN position that no individual should own private property! That UN position is clearly laid out in “UN - Agenda 21”.
The four land theft bills (19, 24, 36, 50) were the first steps in implementing the end of private property. Once this “pesky election” is out of the way, expect a rapid escalation of taking your property!
Much of the leg work has already been done.
Ron Liepert clearly stated, in February, a new “Competitive Regulatory Regime for Oil & Gas Development Act” will be introduced in the fall session of the 2012 Legislature. We do know what that act will basically look like….we attended the “stakeholders input sessions”? It will create a “Super Regulator” that will over ride Sustainable Resources, Energy, and Environment. No more public hearings, no more challenges at the Surface Rights Board, no more environmental assessments!.......... Expect it.
Environment minister, Diana McQueen, has indicated Albertan’s will have a “discussion” on water use……after the election! The purpose of this “discussion” will be to establish a water market. Expect to be paying real money for the water in your well, dugout, creek (if you can outbid the US corporations)! ………it’s coming.
Bill 24 (the Carbon Capture & Storage Statutes amendment Act) was a particulary devious bill. Before they took your “pore space”, without compensation or access to the courts, they did a curious thing…..they declared “pore space”….. a mineral! Therefore, when they confiscated the “pore space” they were in fact confiscating a mineral! The Freehold mineral owners never contested this (that is a whole other scandalous story!), and therefore the precedent was set…….the government can confiscate freehold minerals without compensation or access to the courts ! ……again, expect it!
Now is not the time for apathy or complacency? Now is not the time to sit on the couch watching some mindless TV show?
Get out and vote! Get your kids out to vote! Get the neighbours out to vote!
Let’s be rid of these land robbers, once and for all!

      ASRG,

      I wish yoou were wrong...

On the water front... all indicators are you are reading this correctly... a water 'market' is VERY likely in Alberta. The comments from our last meeting with the Water people at AB ENV. totally backed this up for those who attended... when the staffers reminded us numerous times that it was 'too bad' we hadn't had worse droughts in Alberta over the past decade... to show the need to push their AB. water plan forward.

      What is next.... Sun taxes?

In our general area we have Ted Morton, Arno doerksen, and darcy davis running for the PC's. Conversations with people from all 3 of these areas amazingly show that some people are leaning to voting for these people out of personal friendship rather than party policy. These same people have discussed how disgusted they are with the 4 land grab bills, but they think they need to support their friend/neighbor.

I have met these guys in the past, and would probably vote for them, IF they were running for ANY other party.

The pc party needs to be put in a long term penalty box for losing their way.

Arno still stands a chance. He is only trailing by a couple of percentage points.
Darcy and Ted are toast......not even in the ballpark anymore.

                  ASRG,

Progressive Alison the RED and her Liberano NDP troops have lost their way. I had numerous folks in Redmington (Edm)call her Kim Cambell 2.

THE latest round of fear mongering attacks proves they are as NDP as Jack Layton in the last federal election... on abortion, gay, property, and health care/education issues.

The education minister being 'escorted' off private property is Redmington yesterday (EDM.) is a sign of the ground swell against them. OUR Election signs being destroyed in rural ALberta is another sign that shows just how personal this battle has become!

cottenpickin: After 41 years of one party rule the Progressive Conservative government has got fat, lazy, and corrupt. In reality Big Oil calls all the shots and shovels the money into the politicians pockets, under the table!

Last year we got a "UN globalist lawyer" for our new premier (Alison Redford). She was no bodies choice, but due to the goofy way the PC party elects a leader, that's what we got stuck with! She is in no way a conservative.....more like a NDP pycho on steroids!

The Wildrose Party is relatively new and could best be described as a Libertarian populist party. Small government, less wiping your nose, lower taxes, personal responsibilty!
They have a charismatic leader (Danielle Smith).
We hope we can elect a Wildrose government. Brad Wall would fit right in with the Wildrose!

Only in Alberta would voters get rid of one Conservative gov't and replace it with Another Conservative Gov't

Kind of a stretch calling the PC's Conservative. Especially with Ms. Redford as leader.

Replacing a conservative owned by oil gov with a Reform owned by oil gov? LOL LOL

If you want Wall take him. He's done nothing for any area or person other than the oil areas and the 2 bigger cities. Has lead the way in foreigners taking over the province. You wanna talk about land rights try bidding against the country of china to keep your commuities.

So you are concerned about property rights which is great but for who? The countries and corporates buying out our industry? If you were really concerned about canadian farmers I would think there should be a strategy or policy to allow Canadians to own the land and sell our product into what is going to be prices like never seen before. Just too many people in asia etc and no where else to get what they need.

There is more to the takeover story here, either politcians are on the take or they are really stupid. Just my opinion.
