Are We Canadian Farmers Selling out to CHINA!

Ok some will say leave it alone and move
on. But this land thing and Saskatchewan
is just rubbing me wrong. Talked to a
    deputy Minister yesterday in Regina
about the problem and then Blasted a
Wahl supporter who was canvasing for
    money at night.
Seems allot of farmers are getting pst
about the situation happening in Rural
    Sask.
    1. China has people in Canada.
    2. Numbered company buys property.
    3. China sends pawns over to Canada with
Oh lets say a Million each. (its a
    communist country).
    4. Six months or more after the number
company has purchased the land a Chinese
sounding name is added to the title and
    numbered company is dropped.
    5. Canada fast tracks immigrants who
move here and will invest in a Canadian
    company.
    6. Land is rented out and managed by
    what seems original numbered company.
    7. Who knows if they ever leave
    Vancouver. Answer is No One.
Now maybe we are also all fooling our
    selves to believe Rich Canadian
investors are investing in other land
companies. What if its the Chinese that
    are the main investors.
Are we as canadians who broke this land
    build Nice family farms eventually
working for the Chinese on our own land.
Seems we all know they are running short
of food. How else to secure food for
cheap price. By buying idiotic farmers
out and then having the same idiots work
the land and send the food back to
china. Its guaranteed supply. Get rid
of middle man and make the unsuspecting
    Canadian farmer a serf.
Also dupe the Gov of Canada in the
    process.
Its also happening in other countries.
Is it simply populate the world then
take over. Canada would last oh lets say
    one minuet.
To those that say its a free world. Have
you tried to buy farm land in China?
Lots in Rural Saskatchewan are starting
to wake up but is it maybe already to
    late.

The very very gov't-rich is China are terrified they
will have their perks snatched, their money tap
turned off, and become another merely another
citizen amongst the billion roaming the riotiing
    landscape that threatens.

So the rich are desperately looking to Britain,
Canada , and USA to establish citizenship. They
are trying to buy their way in, and often, money
    talks.

Which is why I broached the topic of cutlure,
earlier on. We have a good thing going. Stability.
Neighbors who are compatible with our lives. The
city boy, learning how to run an air seeder,
understands when you tell him to go to the
    NORTH field.

Is our culture precious to you, or do you want
    open borders? It's a huge question, isn't t? And
yes, Sask3, a lot of land is quietly owned by the
Chinese, with many of them sending their children
    here.

Ask the University how many foreign students are
    attending Saskatoon and Regina, while
Saskatchewan students are rationed entry. Your
tax dollars pay for education. Often, foreign
    students enjoy priortized admission, because
additional tuition fees allow the University to
expand, and keep staff on staff, under the guise of
    internationalism.

Often, foreign students live in houses their
parents have bought for them; thus, the entire
family enhances their chance to immigrate here.
And grandparents et al come to live on pension
    and free health care.

Escalated immigration brings chaos, as we are
just beginning to experience in Canada. And it's
important, as Sask3 questions, that all of us
question the process, but also question how it will
affect the culture that actually makes Canada
    attractive.

*****We dont want to turn Canada into the kind of
country that immigrants chose to leave. *****

Which is why each one of you must be pro-active,
instead of silent; firm instead of waffling, if you
have ideas about how change can occur.

Thank you for posting this SF3. I've taken lots of heat for posting this very situation a while back.

To take this further these companies buying are using the agristability guarantees to further the takeovers. so the gov of canada is paying for the foreign take over, at the same time sask farmers in the hard hit areas are getting nothing out of the program.

Hans Schriever showed us all how people outside of canada deal. Maybe that same kinda thing going on here with the chineese. Pay under the table to buy off who and what you want.

there is something going on here, some kinda deal was made with the chineese to give access to our land. Was it in exchange to buy our oil. Let them take our f'n oil as long as they pay what we are here in canada which is 8 cents a litre above the world price. We can by a f'n litre of oil from somewhere else 8 cents a litre cheaper. How is that for a kick in the ass.

      JUST MY OPINION!

Over a decade go, a University personel called
me to ask for layman support b/c a Chinese
appointment at the University had lied about
credentials. A scam. He wasn't qualified in the
        least!

I did a little homework and was quite shocked
about the number of foreign students enrolled,
with our budgets so tight, running a deficit, and
our own children denied entrance because of the
        quota sysem.

China has been educating many of their students
in Canda for a long time. And we stand by.

Today we are short of doctors and nurses, yet
many of our own children applying are denied .

Hence the University decision makers, it seems,
        disfavor local applicants. And encourage
        international students. Pars

Not sure if should say China is sending the kids. Should we not say rich Chinese citizens are sending their kids and its not only Canada that has this issue. What is the population of Canada now? Do we count the Permanent Residents from China that do not wish to become Canadian citizens because they do not want to lose their Chinese Citizenship, (China will not allow dual). The Chinese are very good at business, know more about our gov't programs than most accountants, but the day I start to see 50 percent Chinese doing our farm work and management and ownership is the day I go to the lake and never come back.

Are we, who are not native americans, not all descendants of immigrants. We produce more food than we can eat and have lots of space. If our own weren't too lazy to get off their butts or move out of their parents basements, or put down the video game controllers and get a job........

Why not put the blame for these foreign land takeovers where it belongs...the federal "Harper" government and the Saskatchewan government.

Harper would sell out his grandmother for a photo-op or a headline in the newspaper. Every week another trip to another country where he wants to negotiate a FREE TRADE AGREEMENT so that the furinners can compete against our businesses and farms. Harper is a sell-out, a near Quisling and not experienced enough for the job that he is doing.

NAFTA is an effective marketing tool.NAFTA can
be revised, or cancelled or re-negotiated. It's not a
permanent feature of our constitution nor is
                Norad.

It's an agreement between countries to simplify
                trading. Pars

How many generations do our families have to be in canada for us to start bitching about newcomers?

Its not just China. I know a Nigerian, not a dumb
one, very smart, sent here by his government to
study at U of S. He applies for a job with the
                    government with specific experience requirement.
Needless to say, he does not have this
experience, but he has an ace in the hole. Our
universities give them a 3 week coaching
seminar where they doctor his resume, they get
the interview questions for them and role play the
interview several times. What do you know, they
come sailing into the position ahead of the pack.
This is most unfair to other applicants and gives
the employer a false indication of their ability. Am
I wrong to think they have unfair advantage?
                    Maybe?

And china says,no more canadian imports or exports.

Want to walk down that road.

And china says no allies trade with canada.

                      Hard ball-a game we loose.
