Yep, not much change except for this paragraph in the 2011 press release which was missing from this years release and one little factoid. Guess what it might be.

From the 2011 release:

"Controlled by western Canadian farmers, the CWB is the largest wheat and barley marketer in the world. As one of Canada's biggest exporters, the Winnipeg-based organization sells grain to over 70 countries and returns all sales revenue, less marketing costs, to farmers."

I like this new era of "control". I now get to control things which previously I could not control.

After 6 organic crops, and, much open market
volatility, and much neighbors fear/ scorn, I like it.
We all have the right to fail. If you have any
business ambition, you will figure out a way to get
the best value for your wheat and
barley/oats/peas/ canary, etc.. I think someone
already mentioned the feed price was better than
milling. Ummmm....deliver on your new crop
contract, then sell the surplus into the feed market
if the feed price is higher. Is that soooo
complicated?
If you are really ambitious and want to clean, bag,
process, export your own production from your
farm, to any country in the world, you will no
longer go to jail for that.....we all have the right to
fail.....we all have the right to succeed. It depends
on how we perceive the facts in front of us.

Will note the news release is about negotiating a
bilateral trade agreement with Morocco and removing
some of the tariff related advantage other countries
(in this case durum from the US) had over Canada.
These agreements are done government to
government and provide the whole industry benefit
from the CWB who might do big volumes to an
individual farmer that may be container sized lots.

Life and business really don't change that much in the
new world. Suspect the CWB has a good chance of
retaining North African durum business but the issue
will be to obtain western Canadian supply
commitments/contracts. That is your issue Wilagro.
