CN Blocks major road crossing for over 45 mins

Long Trains... what is the cost in Canada?

I saw traffic backed up for over a 1 mile... from this fiasco.

CN was simply assembling a train using the mainline track at Mile 257.14 Wainwright Sub mainline on AB road 232 north of Hwy 16 1 mile. 4:48pm to 5:42pm I waited.

These people need to pay some BIG fines to stop this abuse of people for their profit. They block emergency services and stopped everyone in the middle of evening rush hour.

    AND CN wants LONGER trains?

NO WAY. THey don't treat the rest of us with any respect now.

I understand from Transport Canada there are NO fines for blocking crossings and No restrictions on train lengths in Canada, according to Kerry Campbell.

    What a joke.

Should have walked over and unhooked it for
them. The 1" round bar sticks out to the side of
the car, when they separate the airlines unhook
automatically. Give that rod a good pull up and
      no more blocked crossing.

Worked at an alfalfa plant years ago, one guy
filling cars was supposed to take 3 loaded cars
release the brakes and take her a half mile down
track and put them with the rest of the loaded
cars. The problem was he didn't take enough
momentum thru a switch and the 3 cars stopped
there. So we loaded 5 cars and took lots of
speed (like fast enough you wonder if you can
still jump off) and banged her thru. Simply
amazing nothing....I think nothing broke, what a
      crack!

O ya Bill Gates and Warren Buffet like railroads
and are big owners of our rail co's. You can be
sure they will be blocking traffic as long as they
like when ever they like unless forced to stop..
The have been blocking roads in the city of
      Edmonton like this also.

after all they need you ta stay in
        business. Don't they?
