    Profit gaps - that's a good one!!!!

So, agstar77, what do you have against winter wheat yields at $6.75/bushel fob vs 1CWRS 13.5% at $7.00 PRO that you get to truck in Sask?

Is it just me or was that guy showing the tons produced per region. Yield is bushels per acre or tons per hectare, this guys chart showed tons per region. Am I wrong?

And Agstar is correct it is all about profit. Not sure how can argue against that. I don't care how many times a European farmer cares to spray for rust, I did it for the first time last year one application cost a fricken fortune. No sense doing it unless it pays.

Yes hopper, I agree, he was talking tonnes
per region, and that was a silly way to
compare to be sure. Should have showed
tonnes per hectare to make it make sense.

If fertilizer keeps climbing, will we see back to
1/3-2/3 or half half farming? It'll work just fine
            for those with paid land.

Hedgehog may disagree but was in Germany
France on grain farms in 2010 and the farmers
told me price was irrelevant all about yield higher
the yield higher he subsidies,in germany
something to with a act of parliament that
Germany will never run out of food and farmers
will always proper regardless of price done after
              ww2
