    Knob & Kettle Terrain

Most of Maniroba and a good part of
Saskatchewan is considered this type of land
    formation.

surprises me that farmers are shocked about
sloughs and excessive moisture. This is it friends!

If you google map or use Prairie Locator and
scroll just north of Regina and east, Sask has a
pile of kettles incrasing in number North and
    East. That's what you have.

South of Lajord all the way to Yellowgrass, and
taking in Riceton to Gray, farmer initiated and
maintained water projects make that land arable
most years. Huge ditches drain the Wascana
Basin. A levy is attached to the taxes of each
farmer who drains into the project. This is the
only one I know of, though there likely are many
    others scattered throughout Sask.

That radar image is looking real goofy ,the storm is
swirling to the west and just west of moose jaw is
    getting hammered.

To bad their is something wrong with the historical
imagery,i don't think I've ever seen whats happening.

One outfit hrs and one canola. Third for wheel
drive on standby to pull out drills.
Peas hate water so looking at different fields, I
need 500 acres for contract. I wanted 1000 but it
just doesn't look like it will work.
Durum will go to barley and hrs acres we push
durum most years and once the first week of may
is gone your just about their. So also wanted a
          1000 will seed 500.

Maybe 2 tenths since snow. This is really starting
                  to look like last year

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I just
thought you might be interested in the
websites. But knob and kettle it is.

Oh man, you must be kidding! Some sure
is knob and kettle, some is rolling
strongly, and some is flat as a pancake.
Some is flat with good drainage, some is
rolling with good drainage, some is knob
and kettle with anywhere from 3 to 50
sloughs on a quarter. Some is flat and
sloped, some is clay, some is sandy
loam, some is clay loam, some is silty
clay loam, some is gravelly loam, some
is fine sandy loam, some is....

I only mean that looking at some map,
                            and generalizing dramatically, is like
                            outsiders saying Saskatchewan is flat
                            and treeless!

How about Nipawin? Knob and kettle?
Tisdale? Kob and kettle? Kamsack? knob
                            and kettle?

                            Just saying! lol

It's the truth when the east part goes back to
normal rainfall, what happens in the west.
