Edmonton area, we are going hard. Ground is a little cold but moisture near ideal. Seeding fenceline to fenceline so far. Anybody an expert in operating an Outback, new sprayer has one, but can't get it to engage.

1.5 hrs SE Edmonton. Grounds been over 8 degrees for 10 days now.
Peas being mudded in. Different drill, getting stuck. Makin a mess on heavier land. The newer the bourgault the heavier per foot!
Will have to reassess battle plan after peas in?

We got one inch in the last rain. Drainage ditches barely running just that every low spot saturated with water that will take a long time to go away sort of thing. I thought Humboldt got more in this last one but did not think that much. We were getting more in the earlier showers.

Go back into the settings. Something has to be set, reset, or turned on to make work. Have a automate on my sprayer and had to go into the GPS settings to turn a couple windows on to make work. They work good when they work!!

With outback touch screen? It should be the icon
that looks like a half moon. You can set it to
engage when your close to your line (manually)
or set it to auto catch the line. I prefer manual
because otherwise after your turn it 'hunts' or
fishtales more with the auto line catch. If you
don't have the touch screen but the lights
only....price out the touch screen very easy to
learn. Really like the visual display and the fact
it's super easy to find where you or any other
                  operator left off.

JD system had me stumped for a bit on the
harrow today...went from swather setting to row
crop tractor...after being jerked around a bit found
the articulated mode ...fixed. O ya for the old jd's
that arn't updated try 1539.8725 freq.

                    Hi Allfarmer,

                    (Sorry about the highjacked thread)

Got it to engage somehow yesterday. It was either the foot switch, the engage button on the joystick or pressing the steering icon on the tough screen. Its a bitch when new equipment shows up in the middle of the season and you don't have time to read the manual. Plus haven't figured out how to disengage the automate to spray manually. 7660

Last year while seeding we where wet,but it was going
in,i was seeding in a field that had chem fallow strip
from the year before,i was going along fine until i hit
it and then boom, damn near stopped the tractor
                        dead.

Now most the farm is chem fallow.

It dried up faster than I thought.

Started seeding again yesterday. We are still
seeding red lentils and thats all that we seeded
so far. The lentils that were seeded 2 weeks ago
are coming along nicely. Will be switching to
large green lentils this afternoon for a few days
                          then to canola.

Seeding in north east sask. Peas and some cereals are going in. If we miss thursday rain it will be full out by the week-end. Good luck all!

Just went for a drive... Barely made it,
muddy. I think next week should start, if
                              it does't rain tomorrow.
