    Very, very little crop up in this area. It
    froze last night already.

              We had -3 the last two nights in our part of southern
              alberta. Quite a bit of canola out of the ground. Dont
              know if therr is damage.

                Lots of canola around here has been smoked the last few years due to light frosts. Maybe you'll get lucky. Black soil near the seed helps, trashy ground is not good.

                  If you have good soil moisture you should be fine.
                  It's frost when it's dry that causes way may
                  damage

                    Let me get this straight, a farmer buys canola
                    seed for $10 per pound and then plants it when it
                    is still freezing at night? Ummmm...I had a good
                    friend who used to work for crop insurance and he
                    used to say there is good money in re seeding. I
                    never understood that quote, and he did not offer
                    the details on how it works.
                    Is this where a person can collect on agri
                    stability?
