    Agrium is not our friend!!!!!!

Seems funny last few years Vittera
couldnt deliver ammonia decent in our
area. Guys waited days for delivery now
this year with the big sale happening
Vitterra is now full of product.
Oh but guess what the independents are
    getting shorted product.
So far we waited 4 hours then two sunday
    then 2 yesterday for product.
Seems the trucks that do the delivery
from the plant just maybe are linked to
you guess it and they are delivering to
viterra to keep their customers happy.
So hurt the independents and keep the
    company you purchased clients happy.
    Yea their great company!!!!!!!!!!!
I say competition Board this is not a
good sale as far as the fertilizer side.
But farmers will get screwed again.

All fert (dry/liquid) is going to have to be pre-bought and stored on farm long before seeding. This issue comes up every year and costs somes guys big time. NH3 may be slightly cheaper at time of purchase but time delays can cost you far more. We switched to liquid years ago cause we seen this comming. Now we never wait for fert, years like this you just can't wait on someone elses excuses.

Liquid is even slower in our area. Guys are going
          to switch to granular.

All the more reason to have on farm storage. Never wait or loose valueable time.

Build infrastructure on farm instead of over paying
for farm land.mi agree better on farm storage
              works,

Horizon here is short on the recieving end for Anhydrous now. Happens when everyone in Western Canada is planting at the same time. Just on a 2 hours wait, not bad if happens only a few times cause I can usually do maintenance as my maintenance is lacking. A rain event will solve our anhydrous problem. I wonder what anhydrous would cost if one would have a large tank for the farm and take delivery in July or Feb. Then would have to have own truck to fill oneself.
Would not need the scale. I enjoy getting to talk to the drivers and finding out about what is happenning around the countryside.

Shut down at 5pm yesterday no more delivery till after dark. Over half a day wait today, word is will get another load after dark, need that rain event. So they making so much money of fertilizer these days and they cannot invest in more trucks planting is getting delayed here. Its not horizons fault, the delay is filling their tanks.

Horizon needs to buy some more goddamned
storage. we are going backwards, every year it is
getting worse. Don't see their new golden boy
customer waiting, don't see the co-ops
                    customers waiting.

I don't mean to come off so harsh because they
have the best customer service and drivers in
the biz. I should also add that i put half our
juice on last fall so I switched to previously
juiced land when they where getting behind.

How much money are you realy saving with NH3? Time is worth way more than a few cents a pound saved at time or purchase. Hate to tell ya but NH3 service will only get worse - nobody wants to truck that shit anymore for 20 hrs a day, JMO. Guys here waiting 2-3 hrs as well , same thing every year here. It's all good when you start but between the 12th and 20th of May the wheels fall off, here anyways.

NH3 and 46 are priced about the same, I like the fact with the NH3 purchase you can pay just after or before the new year for tax purposes. But you get delivery with the NH3. Amazing dispatcher in Humboldt and helps to keep in touch. Say if your broken down phone them first so they know about your wanting a delay. Then phone again when going. Getting tired of the smell though. Who is the Golden boy?

I'm now surrounded by CPS. (Agrium)
Am considering switching back to NH3 to free up air cart space. Finding help a bitch, hired man went elsewhere at last minute. So seeding alone.
Now I'm told to spend today binning the rest of my blends because tomorow they will be permanently out of sulfate and potash. Yes I pre-bought.
                              What the hell next.
Any bright ideas for next year??
Obviously pre-bin all dry, but NH3?? Its unpleasant stuff, and you can't have in hand.
Around here the only people with liquid are the ones with lots of labor and dedicated equipment, water trucks etc.
Jesus, more capital expenditures on shit that don't make bushels!
