100% done since the 19th. Area would be at 80-
85%. Reseeding after this friday is a possibility in
canola if it freezes. Have one 1/4 with frost
damage from saturdays 0c low. Moisture is ideal.
Early peas being sprayed. Early durum in 3 leaf
and early lentils at 5 nodes. Fertilizer was
garbage this year klause. Best stuff came from
local co-op rest of it was dusty crap. Putting up
more new fert storage for next year to avoid
problems next year. Will make a point of only
getting high quality product even if means paying
    a little more.

Phos was super dry and dusty also. I thought they used to add a little diesel to kill dust but that's not enviro friendly.
      Let's suggest cheap canola oil.

Fertilizer is dusty shit this year. Jd my durum is
just poking its head out, peas are also just up.
Early wheat has rows. Wish we were further
        advanced. Cold here.

Humboldt coop phos was normal. Love my canola crop. Gonna spend rest of day planning Churchill canoe trip. Klause you have more different crops than fields, lots of help unless I was seeing double when I drove by. Asparagus crop is currently getting harvested, so yummy mouth watering.
              Rain is now set in.

For one an investment in BRK.A in 1987 average price at 3500 per share would net you 34.286 times your money today. Land investment in the Humboldt area in 1987 at 80,000 you would be able to sell for 160,000 today about double. 25 years span. A rental agreement would have paid you about 6 percent aprox.. minus the land taxes about 1 percent. Seems today renters pay land taxes not sure why.
Today the rent would not pay 6 percent of the purchase price. This is origional 1987 investment. On the origional investment of 80,000 you may have got 4800 in 1987, today your rent income may be 7600, which is like earning a dividend of 9.5 percent. 25 years later. Not sure where exactly I am trying to go with this but a business person in 1987 BRK.A would have earned one hell of a lot more than a farm investment. Most investments go in cycles, we may be wrong not to invest even now. Prices may seem high, I personally decided to purchase before the price went up. Just I think even though I will not buy land now that land is still a good investment. My opinion. To the young farmers with sharp pencils I think there is opportunity.

16% done here. Im NW of Yorkton. I still spent last week banding fertilizer because I didnt do it in the fall. That decision will now cost me. Canola stubbles were alright but some untouched oats stubble was terribly wet. Just canola in the ground so far.

jd 3007. Sorry to hear your struggles.I
seeded canola yesterday on some of that
terribly wet oat stubble. Lots of
plugging. It is unreal isn't it? Hard to
even explain to those who are mostly
done, or even half done, eh?

And now this rain on already soaked
                            ground! GRRRR.

Not going to be fun from here on in.

Freewheat. Feel your pain. Dealer support has vanished for some. A series of assumptions led to a shitshow here as well. One assumption that lead to this is that the other guy is capable.
