Apparently Quebec students pay the lowest tuitions of any province in Canada (and even with the proposed hikes would still pay less than others)?
Maybe the ones who should be striking are the students in Alberta and Saskatchewan? Afterall supposedly we are the "have provinces"....surely our students shouldn't have to pay more than students from Quebec?

Saw Sun News and they had a good interview with an ex-Que writer... She said we give billions from BC, AB. Sask, in equalisation payments... to have these people/students spit in our faces and throw our money down the gutter while deomonstrating is the height of arrogance.She said about 55 percent of Qu people support the students.

Tom: Maybe our students should be asking for lower tuition rates like in Quebec? Don't we live in "the richest place on earth"?
I find it kind of funny that those old evil empires like Cuba and Venuzuala have free tuition for their students, while our superior captitalistic democracies require our students to pay through the nose?
What is with that? Don't we have a superior system?

Through the nose?! Hardly. If the students have no
skin in the game, why would they be expected to
care about the quality of their education. A person
tends to be a little more attentive to the goings on
around them when their own money is at stake.
