I heard it from my English neighbor who moved
here 8 years. Big deal I made a mistake and
should have checked. Point is like the USA and
Canadian house market, everything can come
down. Really down.

a lot of english farms have dropped in value, if they are near towns where building was expected to happen, or in areas where the irish were buying.
cropping land in the east has doubled, but house values have dropped, so a cropping farm with 4 houses may still be the same total price.
Heard a good tale from ireland;
farmer sold 500 acres close to city for £500 million.rented it back
building company folded, went to auction, same farmer repurchased for £120 million!
